Broadway Tavern & Grill — Restaurant in Pueblo

Holy schmoly guys. I hope this is your normal service! A friend recommended this place so I took the drive ... I do NOT regret it! I came in this establishment around 12:10pm on a Mon. Walking outside it seemed like any old place in pueblo but when I entered it was clean and fresh smelling and I Was greeted upon arrival. Immediately received an ice cold beverage and presented with the daily special. Today it was the smothered burrito. I decided to go with it to see what was "special" to them. I was not disappointed. It was prepared and served in prompt time and was presented so well I didn't grab a picture. I wish I would have. I got excited and started digging right in. If I could give it a 6 stars I would. I cleaned my plate and was offered more beverage as mine was 1/4 left in my bottle. The 2nd was just as crisp as the 1st. The staff were very attentive and nice. Could be a great place to hang out if it wasn't so crowded. Maximum occupancy routinely gets exceded here creating an unsafe condition should emergency situations arise. Prices for a mixed drink, Malibu rum and pineapple juice, to be specific, cost $6.00. $6.00? Really? For what you get, this is ridiculous. Not to mention, if the bartender(s) don't recognize you as a regular patron, they seem to ignore you. Also, on several occasions I witnessed a customer passing their alcoholic beverages through the barriers in the outside seating area to obviously underage people. Not very professional and conducive to customer service. There is also a $15.00 minimum to use a credit or debit card. The building needs updating. I always enjoy going to the Broadway. I follow a lot if local bands and the choice music played every weekend is great. Wednesday nights with Carlos Crul and The Boys to Friday and Saturday nights with various bands makes this place hopping on the weekends.
