There must be a major talent drop of from morning crew to evening crew, we went there last night after a long day of celebrating my wife's birthday and doing Christmas shows and shopping, when we're get there it wasn't very busy, and I think I know why. When the lady seated us, my wife noticed there was still a bunch of food under the table she was gonna seat us at, she mentioned it to the lady and she asked us if we wanted to move, my wife said yes and the lady hesitated a few seconds and finally moved us to another dirty table, the lady said they didn't have time to tidy up the place cause they just had a big rush of people come in, when we got there it was 10:20 PM. I have a hard time believing that they just had a rush come through. Then the waitress that helped us looked like she just rolled outta bed, her appearance was not very appealing, get clothes were a mess, her hair was a mess, I've been to this restaurant before and in the morning, the place was clean and the people that were working there didn't look like they just woke and slept in their clothes. Than when it came to the food...... well..... let's just say we're should have gone to McDonald's or something. My wife and I both ordered breakfast and I had some coffee. The coffee was the only thing that had any sort of heat to it, when I got my plate it looked like they didn't give a damn about appearance, and the toast was rock hard and the butter that was on the one toast was not melted and the grease that was on the potatoes, if you could ring out the grease you'd have enough there to cook another meal. I realize that the waitress and staff work hard and have long shifts on their feet, but I believe management needs to give them help if they're overwhelmed with work. Or just get new employees that actually care. When we left the place was still not cleaned and it looked like no...
Read moreThis is our preferred Denny's cause it's always friends fast and good food EXCEPT a recent experience in the banquet room. 1 server for over 30 people. I wanted nearly 2 hours for food, my order was actually forgotten and when I did receive it when I reminded them it was cold. Even my daughter's spaghetti was cold and hard. Also the menu for banquet room is more expensive on top of the minimum requirement and can't do any of their deals. Also they told my 94 year old grandmother and my mother that they had to put a 20% gratuity as tip but did not enforce this with myself or several others. So not only are the menu prices higher, staff coverage is low, not allowed your favorite meals if they are a deal at Denny's but they pressure the older guests for a high tip when even their food was cold which should have not been the case. I've seen them cover bigger groups extremely well in the past with more servers so this was a managers lack of scheduling foresight. Plus said manager was not friendly when kindly asked verification on the limitations on the allowed menu sets for the banquet room. She conversed the bare minimum, gave cold looks, never smiled once despite never receiving an unfriendly tone especially from myself and neither did they come in to address the issues that occurred. In truth I hope the woman that stayed at he register that evening was not the manager because I fear what type of down hill path she may take our...
Read moreAn Atypical American Diner rooted in the 50's idea of Americana Diners. A no frills experience.
First: About my rating and rating system. It's very rare for anybody to get 5 stars in anything. My top ranking is 4 stars. With that so noted. Denny's loses a star for the following reasons.
Now with that all said. These ideas are not that big of a detractor from their rating. Their overall service is superb. The food is great. The restaurant is always nice and clean. Servers are always professional and friendly. Any problems I have had, have always been quickly and fairly taken care of and corrected.
I would recommend eating here. (Note: This review is locational, and is about the location shown on Google Maps. Not a review of all of Denny's nor any other Denny's but...
