Personally, in the five times Iāve visited our local Queen Creek Handelās store, I have not had a major issue. While reviewing and reading most of the reviews the one commonality I take from each one is that the Queen Creek community is yearning for better service. While understanding customer service is important and is also one of my biggest pet peeves, remaining optimistic and giving a chance is just as critical to any business owner and staff resulting in success. Ultimately, we get what we reflect. Iāve lived in the area since 1994-transplanted from NYC and now a native Arizonian where most are direct, honest and fair. Iāve experienced substantial growth with a lot of diversity and an overall great sense of camaraderie in Queen Creek while my backyard was a potato field on German Road while living in Power Ranch. Iāve experienced many grand openings. Itās important to keep in mind all the aches and pains any type of business will experience to conquer great success within 1-2 years. Like not one person, no business is perfect either. It takes a village. Typical for any food service industry. After working 43 years in general business from law firms, hotel-restaurant-tourism industry's and finance corporate America, I was privileged to work many cultures, and ethnicity of people that include the good, bad, ugly, and indifferent. Understanding what the Queen Creek community would like to see should be presented as constructive feedback versus negative feedback. A huge difference to say the least. Giving a chance to the youth who are willing to work while giving credit to the Manager-Owner running this new location, would not be metaphorically fair to compare a new born with a 5-year old. As I read, the Manager-Owner has taken the time to read and respond. More than I can say about businesses that have opened and request feedback. Yet, result in not responding. Tells a tall story of the type of business person running Queen Creek Handelās. Letās give credit where credit is due. Hence, Iām confident Queen Creek Handelās is working out its quirks, staff, business models and other areas to promote success for all. May not always be perfect because after all no one is, but, Queen Creek Handelās will flourish and rise to its full potential with grace and time. Meanwhile, letās support our local business. Thank you to the staff for being there to provide kind and patient service as they adapt to their business accomplishments and accommodations. Keep up the good work, delicious ice cream flavors and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām not from Arizona and Iāve come to this location as well as many others while stationed here for work and Iāve never had a bad experience. Today would prove to be different.Ā When it was time to put in my order me not wanting to be rude while on the phone, I told the person on the other end of my line to hold briefly. The person taking my order seemed to be distracted by the next customer as she looked continuously looked over me at the entrance to a young guy whom I perceive to be her boyfriend as I told her my order. She was completely disinterested in serving me the current customer before her as her responses were very dismissive as if she was rushing to be done with me so that she could get to him.
When my order was ready, because I ordered a medium cone, Ā and I normally do ⦠a cup was offered . However, I never take the cup. Instead of handing me the cup in hand the young lady pushed the cup across the counter to which I took as disrespect and I didnāt take it from her. I grabbed the cone only. As I was walking out she snatched the cup back. Instead of immediately reacting I came back in through the entrance to ask another employee what her name was (so that I could appropriately contact the person in charge and report her attitude and behavior) . I want to say she said Cheyenne
That person (stated she was the manager) asked me was there a problem .. I explained to her what happened and she said that she saw the whole thing (her back was turned) and that she would talk to her ..to clarify that Iād heard her name correctly I asked again what her name was to which she responded to me āweāre not going to harass her thereās customersā as if Iām intimidating and portraying me as if I was being aggressive when I never raised my voice at nor did I react to the poor service I received . Am I not a customer as well? I am an RN and I have a professional reputation to uphold. The behavior / customer service displayed today was uncalled for and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell I love the ice cream but this location has a lot to learn about customer service. 10 employees standing around one working at register helping the customers, a guy shouting hello but then just stands along counter on the back end with hands in pockets. A family left, then family in front of me was next for service. I just waited behind them along counter. I watched one girl walk around with cones then another met her at cones near where I was standing, they put them all together on the cone holder almost right in front of me. Still no further acknowledgement or start on my order like other Handels locations. Then a family walked in and well they didn't walk around the ropes and went to second register directly facing door. Guy who said hi to me shouted hi to them but still stood with hands in pocket. A girl noticed and took gloves off, acknowledged them and they got served. My intention was to get some quarts of ice cream but nobody served me or acknowledge me further beyond the initial hello when I entered. Of the 10 employees I counted I think 3 or 4 were actively working. One gal was just standing alone in the back near her water bottle with gloves on. Mind you everyone's water bottles all over the back counters too. Sunday 12/17 at 645 pm ish I was in store. I was giving a fair chance of that's the way line went but then when family who just entered got helped before me. Hopefully they learn a better flow to help customers...
