This is the first restaurant I’ve ever had to walk out of. I’m gonna be clear and say that I’m not a high maintenance customer. I don’t mind waiting, I don’t mind if the food doesn’t come out quickly, or an order is wrong. Stuff happens, and I get that. Especially during pandemic times, I’ve been more lax about things being slower, but this was just inexcusable. It really shouldn’t take over an hour to seat six people, especially since plenty of people who had been sat down prior and ate had left. It literally took a person from my party to flag down someone and ask if we would be getting seated anytime soon. The communication was nonexistent, and that’s a problem. We weren’t the only ones who were waiting too. Multiple parties of people waited and ended up leaving without being seated, and one woman stood at the desk for about twenty minutes so she could pay for her meal. It wasn’t like they were understaffed either, or it was bustling with a lot of people. They had at least enough waitstaff for each table of people that had been seated, but I’ll talk more on that in a second.
When we finally had gotten seated due to my friend asking for a time frame of when we would get seated, we were shortly thereafter asked to move our table to comply with guidelines (which I have no issue with, I understand covid has introduced the six foot distance rule and I’m more than happy to be six feet or more away from people. I wish that they complied with ALL of the covid guidelines, though). That was a nice moment of communication, something that there was none of here. The last moment of communication we had with the waitstaff was being given our menus that had 00.00 as the listed price for everything. Then we were left for the next hour with no communication or anything. No drink order, no food order, hell we didn’t even get offered WATER.
But we were lucky to get to see numerous things that the employees did like ‘avoid eye contact with you’ and ‘stand by a fellow employee and chat her up for twenty minutes while she deals with something on a register’. Can’t forget about the fan favorites of ‘not carrying any food around because no one else had their order taken’ and ‘standing around on their phone’. I think my favorite one (the ironic one) is the activity where they continuously dropped the ball on mask compliance. Now, they did make us move our table and told an entitled witch of a woman to get a mask or else she couldn’t be seated, but they couldn’t seem to grasp the concept of keeping the mask on. They were under noses, under chins, hanging from one ear, they kept touching their faces (which is already kind of not great to do in food service), and overall just didn’t seem to care. Masks can be hard for some people but if you’re having an issue, either get a face shield or go to the back room to let your face breathe a bit. Don’t do it when you’re right by the kitchen.
This sitting lasted another hour, before we ended up just leaving. This location is a joke, the waitstaff was embarrassing and unhelpful, and I don’t think it can be saved. Don’t come here, let this place close down so something better can be built...
Read moreWell, here goes... I am disabled, and so is my fiance; yet Good does not Exist without Bad. Dining in general is kind of a headache with: cleanliness, prepackaged condiments (i.e. Syrup, Sauce's, and normally anything that is typically on the table), but blame can only be blamed on COVID-19/COVID-193 (I may be incorrect on the identification of the new strain. Those who have decided against vaccination; which is their choice do poses a threat. It would be great for the government to spend more time explaining the risk in multiple ways that people can interpret vs repeatedly sticking to force, not correcting the previous incorrect information, and I am on the fence about the compensations being offered. I've been vaccinated for months now. Anyway, the downfalls of dining at this location: Flies are everywhere and you have to spend time fanning them away from your food and trying to hitch a ride on your clothes. With social distancing, my fiance was tempted to use his hat as a fly destroyer, but he was afraid the fly carcasses would land on someone or there food. Interesting enough, the restaurant decided to test slippery floors. Maybe they thought you would get to your seats faster. I kinda used my cane wearing my Jordans to propel myself. The risk of falling exceeded the risk of leaving right away. It appeared the busser was having a good time seeing the struggle's. A young boy Maybe around age 10 slipped and fell really hard, and the sound was cringe worthy; as his older family member went to his aid and she almost ended up on the ground. It's horrible to have to keep scratching restaurants from the dine-in list because all of my doctor's are kind of far from me. So, another one bites the dust after attempting to enjoy more than...
Read moreThe food as always is good however today the service sucked. I'm understanding of the fact that during this time these positions are hard to fill and there's a lot of short-staffed issues going on.. to the point that an employee was able to bring what appeared to be a child anywhere between three and five years old to work and it's good that employer will let them do that but the issue I have here is that our order was taken once she gave us like six menus for a party of three. Then we ordered French toast and pancakes she never brought syrup, never checked in on us to see if the food was good or if we needed anything else or any refills for the drinks which we obviously did and she basically ignored our table from the time that we were first served to the point of waiting 20 minutes after a meal was done in order to come over and give us the bill and we had to request to go packages when you can clearly see yes we have food remaining that I'm not just tossing in the garbage.
For me being a server is very hard work I used to be one myself and I'm very understanding of the job but I'm not going to allow neglect of a customer to serve as a stand-in for the restaurant being short-staffed as they were really not that busy as I've seen them before. Usually this place is packed all day long but there were four servers and maybe 10 tables. So yeah I'm unlikely to return.
