If I could rate this store zero stars I would! The ordering of furniture was fine but took longer than expected. It wasn’t until our furniture was to be delivered that the problems started. My husband stayed home awaiting delivery and it never came. When he called the Racine, WI store he was told that the delivery was changed to 4/17. We have text messages and an invoices stating the delivery was 4/11. When I called the store I spoke with Michelle and she told me someone is in Customer Care changed the date. We were not notified of the change or reason why. I then called Customer Care and they said it was pushed back because pieces of our couch were back ordered. It made no sense because we specifically set 4/11 as the delivery date to make up for the already back ordered items. They were no help so I called the store back and spoke to Michelle again. This is the first time she tells me pieces are back ordered, and for a different couch than Customer Care told me. This is where the inconsistencies and stories begin. Michelle tells the manager the problem and they are going to work on getting it delivered on 4/13. After another round of phone calls and different stories I finally ask to speak with the manager. He says they have been emailing with the Delivery team to get the furniture that is available delivered on 4/13. He says the back ordered pieces would be delivered on 4/17. He kept cutting me off and finally I had to ask him if I could speak. He then got passive aggressive because he wouldn’t speak for a significant amount of time when I was done explaining the situation, it was dead silence. When I finally said, “Hello?” He responded with, “I was waiting for you to be done.” I finally accept that everything is what it is and hang up the phone because he wasn’t listening anymore. I call my husband to explain the outcome and he mentions that Michelle told him one piece was back ordered until 4/24. I am immediately angry because that date never came out in conversation. I call the store back and ask to talk to the General Manager. I could tell it was going to be bad from the beginning. She didn’t want to listen to me! I tried to explain the discrepancies and began to ask for clarification she got an attitude with me and started to raise her voice. I admit, I had an attitude and was irate! She accused me of swearing at her staff and told me that I was just upset because I wasn’t getting what I wanted. I was dumbfounded! How dare she accuse me of swearing and tell me off like that, this is the GM! I have already filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing another one about her. When I mentioned that I wanted to talk to someone higher than her she told me to call customer care, like she didn’t care if I made a complaint. She continued to be combative and my jaw continued to fall further to the floor. I have never been spoken to like that and from a GM her store/company made all of the mistakes! I told her I was going to call and she just kept saying, “Go ahead, go ahead!” I kindly tried to tell her I was going to end the call because it wasn’t productive but she continues to raise her voice and tell me to, “Go ahead!” I hung up and immediately called Customer Care!
I will never shop at Bob’s again and I will tell others to stay away from Racine as well! This all could have been avoided with one cal to let us know pieces were on back order and delivered what was available!
Never again Bob’s Furniture! If I had t run my credit I’d return every piece and shop...

My husband and I were excited when we found Bob's. With having somewhat different furniture tastes it can be difficult. We had scoped out a few other stores and decided that Bob's was the way to go. The selection was better quality and broader. The prices were right in line with competitors so it wasn't much of a factor.
We were thrown off from the beginning when the sales associate kept nagging us about why we wouldn't be purchasing that day even after letting her know we were just scoping stuff out several times she proceeded to tell us that when we did decide to ask for her by name so she would get the commission. I know that is a big no-no. We still went with them because we fell in love with some pieces that we BOTH could compromise with.
We purchased a couch and loveseat set and a king size bed. The day of purchase we were told everything would be in the following Wednesday for us to pick up. Arriving at the store that day we find out the the couch wasn't in and won't be in for almost two weeks. We were upset and annoyed. We weren't expected the and got rid of our old furniture. Letting it go and prepared to wait we took the bed home.
So we start unboxing at home ready to put the thing together when we notice the we are missing crucial parts to even put it together. I stop everything and call the store to inform them of the mistake. I'm told they will deliver the missing pieces the following Wednesday. So now even more upset because we had purchased a brand new mattress the day before which now and to be on the floor.
Ok fine more waiting. Tuesday evening comes and we say hey let's go get this bed as ready as we can so it's easier when we get the missing parts the next day. When doing this we open a final box of drawers, we had already opened one box of drawers with no problems. So in this box I find that these two drawers are in the wrong color!! So again I call the store and inform them. Get the same response as I did with the missing part situation. Wait some more. We call it a night super frustrated and hope the other parts are here the next day. The truck comes and I notice I'm still missing parts. So again I call and not so nice this time I vent my frustration over these problems. I spoke with a manager who told me that because of the inconvenience they will deliver the couch and loveseat and a whole new bed on a certain day, in about a week. So later that day I missed a call from the manager to set up the delivery time. I call the next day( the day I'm writing this review) to confirm delivery date and time and am told the yes they have a new bed coming but I have to pick it up and they dont have any notes of the couch and loveseat delivery. We are so upset, been sleeping on a brand new mattress on the floor and have no place to sit in our living still. We have decided to bring the parts we do have of the bed back and cancel the couch set all together. Hopefully nothing like this happens wherever else we go and hopefully this kind of stuff doesn't happen to...
Read moreThis place should be called Bob's scam! It all started when I was told they do not sell bonded leather furniture. I purchased performance leather sectional and the extended warranty. They charge $110 for delivery and setup. So this morning the delivery driver showed up almost 40 minutes before their scheduled time. They started unloading the furniture but there was a couple of issues. One they only had half of my sectional which was not okay. They accidentally cut the bottom of the couch that's isn't the worst of it though. I called customer service to find out when the other half of my sectional would arrive and they informed me I had to wait 2 more days. I have family visiting from out of town not okay. After going back and forth with the somewhat rude manager I was told it would be here tomorrow. I was okay with that but as I was checking out my furniture I saw a tag with a swatch of fabric stating the furniture was bonded leather... they claim they don't sell bonded leather. I called the store again since I felt they had tried to deceive me I was told the factory put the wrong tag on my product. Not buying that for one second. I went back to the store and demanded a refund and to have the furniture removed from my home so I could set my old set back up. They tried to tell me that I had to wait and insisted the furniture was not bonded leather. I told them I was bringing the furniture back today and getting my refund today I was done playing games since this consumed my entire day already. Finally they agreed to accept the furniture back at the store. Upon getting home I inspected the tags on the furniture and it was indeed bonded leather. When I brought it back they still insisted the the factory put the wrong tags on. I have never been so stressed trying to get a furniture set in my life. Upon checking consumer affairs it appears that this is not uncommon with them. I was lucky to have been able to return my furniture most they don't accept back. In short they were dishonest from the start. I had a feeling something was off when I went in to get the delivery fixed the associate who sold me the furniture ran and hid as soon as she saw me. I will be keeping a close eye on my credit card to make sure I actually receive my refund. You may have better luck with them should you choose to shop there but for me the first impressions are everything I should have listened to the only...
