I drove up to the drive thru and there was one car at the speaker and one in front of me. After 12 minutes of no one moving I drove around to a parking spot. I looked at the clock in my car before I got out and it was 7:40pm. There was one family eating at a table but no one else so we walked right up to the counter. The young lady was too busy doing whatever to notice us so I said "Hi". She came over and asked what I'd like. I ordered an 8 piece family meal, two shrimp and hush puppy meals, and a five piece strips. The young lady asked if we'd like sauce with the strips, my son shook his head but I said I'd like the sweet heat sauce. She said "He already said 'No'" and I said "He doesn't know what he's talking about". Really? Can I just have a sauce? She rang us up and walked away. I had to get her attention to remind her my son got a meal so then she pushed a cup over to him. The shrimp and hush puppy meals are meals and come with drinks but she didn't want to give us drinks. So we sat and waited for our food. I couldn't believe how SLOW the employees were moving. Seriously it was like watching a movie in slow motion. Like three toed sloth slow. So we get our food, get in the car, it was 8:04pm. 24 minutes when I was the only one ordering! I got home and my son said his strips didn't taste right (he LOVES Popeyes Chicken on Washington Ave.) and he wouldn't eat them. My husband and I opened our shrimp and hush puppies but it seems they think hush puppies are biscuits. It was just so, so bad. I'll never go to the Durand Ave. location ever again. I'll also post my experience on Facebook for my friends and family to see.
AD: I thought the meal was shrimp and hush puppies, it's actually shrimp dipped in hush puppy batter. Very misleading...
Read moreOkay first I want to say I'm only giving them one star because I hope corporate or the owners see this and make massive changes. I do a lot of reviews for restaurants and businesses in my area because I lived here all my life and I never do them out of hatred only from product and service, and by that being said it's review time.
Popeyes is one of the most favored fast food restaurants you can go to because the food is not totally fast food per se. Mostly everybody I know loves chicken and they really do got some good chicken when it's done right and everybody that works there puts their hard-working effort into it.....NOW the Popeyes by regency Mall and yes you know which one I'm talking about maybe the worst Popeyes in America and it's not the employees fault. They are short-staffed trained terribly and not prepared to fully do their job due to low product in inventory.most of their items they have on the menu are never in stock I mean come on no mac and cheese no corn those are the Popeyes favorite sides and to top it off they run out of fries they run a biscuits it's almost no point in eating there without those signature items. Then you have days where they run out of chicken That's got to be the most embarrassing thing for a CHICKEN restaurant to run out of CHICKEN. Corporate really needs to step in and help them out if they're going to continue to sell a product that people are paying money for. I was there for this big chicken sandwich craze and I have never seen a sad sight like those days watching the employees scramble for item that they were not prepared to sell. So again owners, corporate, Jesus somebody help this location or it will not be around...
Read moreI ordered chicken from the Popeyes website to pick-up at the store. I was given the option during checkout to either pick-up in store, or pick-up through the drive-thru. I chose the option to pick-up in the drive-thru, as my daughter was sleeping and it was raining, and I didn't want to wake her up.
I pulled through to the speaker gave them my name and order number. Upon arriving at the pick-up window, I was instructed that I had to come inside to pick-up my online order. I told the clerk that online it has the option to either pick-up in store, or in the drive-thru.
The clerk proceeded to call her manager over, and I explained to the manager that I chose the drive-thru pick-up option. I was told I couldn't pick-up my order in the drive-thru. I asked then why did it give me the option to pick-up in the drive-thru. She had no answer. The only thing I was told is that they don't allow online orders to be picked up in the drive-thru. You must come inside.
I asked her to cancel my order, again the manager was extremely unhelpful. She said I had to cancel online. Of course there was no cancel button on the confirmation email, and there was no easy way to cancel through the website.
I actually did go inside because I didn't want to be charged for food I didn't receive. Upon getting to the counter, there was a door dash driver waiting to pick-up his order. He said the order was placed some time ago, and that he was waiting for 25 min with no food looking like it was coming anytime soon.
If you are looking to order online or from this Popeyes, do yourself a favor, Dont!!
This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. Ever!! Never...
