I am writing this review because I have been in this restaurant several times for the buffet, each time the receptionist was absolutely amazing hower the owner not so much! First off this lady never speaks and her behavior is somewhat rude! On each occasion that I have dined at her restaurant it has been 30 minutes prior to closing, She acted as if my friend and I were unwanted patrons! I watched her offer every customer in there extra food (since we came 30 minutes prior to closing the buffet was basically empty), while totally ignoring my friend and I as if we did not exist, or like we didn't just spend out money on a buffet that we knew we weren't about to get our monies worth due to the time. Normally this would not bother me but this lady has done this every time I have dined in her restaurant she never speaks and she looks at African American women with disdain, her husband who appears to be AA also speaks to everyone except AA women ( Although I did see him speak to an AA women once but she told me she was in the military with him. The food is great but I will never dine here again. I would rather spend my hard earned dollars at an establishment were I am made to...
Read moreFull on Korean lunch buffet for $10. A steal for $10. I wrote a review for Han Mi Oriental restaurant, saying that it was like the tiny Mom & Pop alley restaurants in Korea. I presume it's like home cooking. Song's Kitchen is more like the fancier Korean restaurants as far as the food quality and presentation on the buffet. Beef, pork and chicken bulgogi's were delicious. I was too full to try the ojingeo bokkeum (fool!), but just the fact that it was on the buffet was surprising and delightful. A full complement of panchan (side dishes--all were perfect), plus kimbahp, yahki mandu, jahpchae, lettuce leaves, and ripe pineapple and grapes for dessert. There were also two types of little cakes: the gingerbread/carrot cake one was very good, the chocolate one was so dry it sucked moisture from my body just by reaching for it. ;-) The only dessert I had at regular Korean restaurants in Korea was fruit, so maybe stick with that. Song's Kitchen is highly...
Read moreJust meh. Bulgogi was way too sweet. Not your authentic Korean recipe. Bibimbap lacked veggies and it was mostly rice with spicy radish and mung bean sprouts. It was drowned in sesame oil which didn’t balance the dish. Kimbap was the best dish. Prices are way too high. For the location and the interior of the restaurant, prices were ridiculously high. If the food was mind blowing good, perhaps the prices wouldn’t be an issue. And what bothered me the most was the overcharging of our bill without saying anything. We ordered 4 dishes and asked for an extra portion of the banchans. If each of us sat independently at different tables, we would all have our own side dishes. If you want returning customers, do not skimp out on...
