We love the food and have come regularly for 15 years. The kitchen consistently delivers, the menu is imaginative and very tasty, and the staff is friendly and professional. And I mean both sides. It's not complicated but the web seems to get it confused: there are two restaurants right next to each other with one door. On the left is Teresa's Cafe, on the right is the pub called Teresa's Next Door (TND). On the left they serve Italian food and favor wine; on the right they serve Belgian food and favor beer. I say favor because you can get any drink on either side; (no so with the food.) Just this year Teresa's (the left side) did a complete rebuild. Old reviews say it is too loud - and it was. They fixed the acoustics so that you can now hear yourself, and redecorated and added a bar and cool new soapstone tables. Meanwhile the bigger crowds have been favoring the right side (TND) lately. It can get crowded and of course loud, but that makes it fun and feel like a pub should. If you want a more peaceful scene then go before six. We have been to both sides dozens of times. On the left, my wife loves the chicken and I try a special entree which is usually awesome. All the pastas are really nice too; you've got your lobster raviolis and nice putanesca and such. On the right (TND) we often sit at the bar just because it is more fun. I love the duck salad and the little belgian meatballs. The mussels come 6 or 8 different ways and the ones I've tried are very nice. They get rather adventuresome with their specials, and you can find boar, rabbit, buffalo, venison in various forms. On "Tasty Tueday" there is a whole page of interesting creations. And the Hobbit ribs are to die for. And then there is the beer, the star of the show. Obviously, they have 16 taps and hundreds of bottles of the highest quality beers. Any beer nerd (like me) has already scoped this place out and knows they are serious about beer. They will certainly offer you a sample, although when they are busy it gets much harder to get the...
Read moreLast night I went to Teresa’s for my friend’s birthday dinner, and I was very disappointed. Not only did we receive bad service, we were also shown a complete lack of respect. Our appetizers arrived almost an hour after we ordered them, which I understand it can be busy, but our waitress didn’t mention a word about it. Then when our food arrived at 7:30 (we ordered at 6:10), she also did not apologize or mention anything about our hour and half wait. My friend asked for ketchup and she did not get it until her fries were already cold, and again the waitress did not mention this or apologize. We then asked for the birthday cake to be brought out (after having to wave her down, she didn’t come to check on us or ask if we needed anything) and it was another 20 minutes until we saw her again. She brought out the cake but no plates or forks, and we were left alone for another 5-10 minutes. She was nowhere to be found so I got forks for my friends from a bin behind us and we were going to eat off of napkins (at this point it was 820 on a Sunday - our reservation was at 6.) It was then that the manager approached our table and spoke extremely condescendingly towards me and my group of friends. He spoke to me as if I was stupid, I’m not, and told me that they don’t let customers cut the cake and he took the cake away from us. I said we hadn’t received plates or forks and he said in a very rude tone that he “thinks they’re probably coming.” If you see your customers having to get up for their own silverware after being neglected by their waitress, why would you immediately come to me and accuse me? And I know we received this treatment because we are teenagers. To this man, I would like to say: I know if I was an adult you would not have spoken to me this way. Why do you pick and choose who you show respect to? I’m sure you will be fine at Teresa’s if you’re a group of adults, but if you are not, you won’t be treated...
Read moreWhere to start...TND has been a place I love since they opened around 2007 maybe? The owner Andy is super nice! It's still one of my top 3 places to eat and drink in suburban Philadelphia, and definitely the best restaurant in Wayne, Pennsylvania (I do also love Dandan).
I am a NJ resident yes, but honestly this restaurant always satisfies my beer and food snob needs. Like I absolutely love 💕 it here. All the staff is amazing but especially CLIFF JEREMY CHRIS and the two redhead dudes with beards I love them!
My motive for coming here is primarily the beer taps, and TND being a verified Untappd venue helps a lot. I love talking beer with Cliff as he knows what the latest info is with beer and availability.
I always know the food will be great. Lately I have been getting a salad with their amazing chicken cutlet added (the salad changes depending on their seasonal choices), and a side of fries.
The bar's tap list has to be the best in SEPA especially this year 2025!! For one thing they always have one or two Russian River West Coast IPAs like Blind Pig, Pliny the Elder, Happy Hops, or Row 2 Hill 56 etc. Or Maine Beer Company West coast styles, or Half Acre. Plus Schilling/Human Robot/Sacred Profane/Tonewood top quality pilsners and various styles of lagers. It's just the best experience ever coming here if you are missing West Coast Style beers.
Don't forget the classic belgians and lambics they have, or sour/saison/gose. Literally everything is FRESH and 5 star...
