I was one of the lucky ones to be invited to the Friends and Family preview weekend of Biscuit Belly. I went with a few of my awesome friends who appreciate food as much as I do. We were greeted by Jennifer/Jenny/Jenn who gave us a menu and walked us through what we would experience. We placed our order at the counter, were given our number to put on the table, then opted to enjoy the fabulous Spring weather outside.
We opted to share an appetizer of Loaded Breakfast Tots which is sausage and cheddar stuffed tater tots with sweet maple mayo sauce. These were very good, but I have to admit, I was distracted by the biscuit sandwiches we had ordered. At our table, we had The Rockwell (Buttermilk fried chicken breast, cheddar, goetta sausage gravy), The Rockwell Supreme (The Rockwell plus an over easy egg and bacon) and for little old me The Belly Buster (Buttermilk fried chicken breast, sausage, bacon, brisket, cheddar, mushroom gravy, over easy egg) although I opted for sausage gravy. The sandwiches were good sized and filling. We all enjoyed our sandwiches a lot. I have to admit of all of the meats in my sandwich, I believe the sausage was my favorite which is surprising as the bacon was perfectly cooked/crispy and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The manager didn't think I could finish my sandwich, but I was happy to prove him wrong (never challenge a stubborn girl).
The restaurant offers coffees, some cocktails, juices, teas and sodas. The Tequila Sunrises were very popular on Sunday. I had a Praline Mocha, which was good, but I was intrigued by the Tractor Sodas (cucumber, lemongrass, cherry cream, etc.) and will likely have those next time.
Thank you so much to the team at Biscuit Belly for a great first experience. See you...
Read moreI was genuinely surprised by this place! My wife and I were just looking for breakfast in a restaurant where you could sit down. And we just happen to find this on Google maps. To say that the food is outstanding is an understatement. It is an eclectic menu, and I was surprised that you can't just buy six of their biscuits. But the food quality is absolutely outstanding and what I loved was the window next to the cash register where you can look in and see the staff actually rolling the dough and making the biscuits. And they are heavenly biscuits. They're thick. They're light. They're airy, and probably the best biscuits I've had, maybe ever! I wholeheartedly recommend the basic biscuit breakfast sandwich, which is egg of your choice, Cheddar cheese and your choice of bacon or sausage, of course on one of their biscuits. Plan to have an appetite because you will not go away hungry. Everything on the menu is incredibly reasonable as far as pricing goes. You can walk away with a full belly for 10 bucks. My only critique would be that the coffee isn't very hot. They need to find a way to either change it on a regular basis or put it in a heated carafe, because my wife doesn't like hot coffee, she likes scalding hot coffee. And even I found it to be a little bit on the warm side. Oh and you even get 1 hour of free parking in the parking garage 40 ft away! Bottom line, if you're looking for breakfast with great food at a reasonable price, seek this place out! I know...
Read moreBasically glorified fast food. You order at the counter and if it's busy (like it was for us) you have to wait in line every time you want to order anything extra. On a busy saturday morning where they only have one girl working the registers and a line out the door... Id rather go elsewhere to finish my meal.
The service was crazy slow, even though there were empty tables. The food was meh - if you're looking for an actual brunch, save yourself the experience and go to Press or Flying Biscuit.
After receiving our food we had to find our own napkins and water as nobody ever came to check on us. (Update: after we spoke about what to say in this review, suddenly 3 people came up to us within a minute) 🤔
Also be aware to read all the menu fine print - the biscuits dont automatically come with gravy, and when I tried to put in a substitution the girl just ended up adding it to the order ($4.50 for 2 turkey sausage patties 😬). The "jumbo" mimosa was juat a tall water glass, nothing jumbo there.
Not sure what my tip was for but I now wish I hadn't tipped at all. 🫠
For two people, it came to $57 (with tip), we got one biscuit sandwich, one omlete, a side order of turkey sausage because it wasnt substituted, a coffee, and a mimosa. Truly dont even waste your time, spend your money with better food, more options, and better coffee.
Hope...
