North Street Beer Station — Restaurant in Raleigh

I really enjoy the atmosphere here and the bar service is great, but the karaoke experience was terrible. My group came specifically for karaoke, and even though I submitted song requests with my name beside them, the host never gave me a chance to sing. Instead, three or four people with microphones sang for the entire 20–30 minutes I was there, even using the songs I had requested. When I asked about it, the host was dismissive and told me everything was just a “suggestion” and that I should sit down and enjoy. He was rude, and the whole experience felt rude. I wouldn’t come back for karaoke if this is how it’s run, which is disappointing because I do like the overall vibe of the bar. This happened on August 29th. Judging by the response from the owner, they are also illiterate & rude it seems. My songs were played, they were just yelled by less talented singers, please don't advertise it as "karaoke" if it's a "recommendation list". Had a disturbing experience with one of your employees and I am confident in saying I have no desire to return and also tell my friends about my experience. She was extremely rude to me this past Saturday night. I was standing outside of clockwork when a friend and I decided to sit in your bar with a drink from clock work. She quickly told us, while off duty smoking a cigarette, that we were not supposed to do that. We quickly obliged and got up. I asked her out of curiosity if she worked for you. She responded in a very condescending rude manner. She and I managed to continue to have words with each other. While not the best way to handle the situation. I was still a customer and she was still your employee. I suggest you speak with this employee and shed some light on proper customer service, and representing your company whilst drinking and smoking outside being extremely rude to customers. I went to this bar with a large group for karaoke on a Friday night, and I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. We were essentially the only big group there, and despite that, our song requests were mostly ignored. When we asked about it, we were told we had sung enough and that the list was just a suggestion, yet somehow two of their friends kept skipping the line and singing multiple times.
