TORCHY'S TACOS 3.5 OUT OF 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 * I'm going to be honest, this was a tough review for me. I gave out my first 1/2 star because I was torn. So overall, @torchystacos are very tasty. The portions are full for a 'street taco' and the flavors are definitely there. I especially loved the Jalapeno Sausage and the Fried Avocado. * My biggest complaint is the price. The guac we got as a starter was $7.50 and y'all, we had to add salt to the chips and the guac. It was pretty basic. Each taco is $4.50 to $5.50. While filling, it's just a lot of money for 2 people. It was about $40 for guac, 4 tacos and 2 sodas. * The vibe was great. Loved the music. Just not worth the sticker price, to me. I will also clarify that I am dairy free, so I removed the cheese from every item and did not try the queso. I'm grateful they could make that accommodation for me.

I’m a big fan of Torchy’s Tacos. The Tacos here are great! And the queso is amazing!! They have interesting options to pick from so you can mix and match and try different taco combinations together. We tried the Chicken Fajita tacos and the Tipsy chicken tacos. The fajita was flavorful - good marinated chicken with grilled onions and peppers, pico de gallo and tomatillo sauce. All the ingredients were delicious and we could tell they were fresh. We also always get ourselves the street corn which was absolutely delicious! A must have, probably serves 2. We also tried the MoFaux which is a cowboy style beyond beef topped with green chiles, grilled corn and peppers, and some avocado. Again, fresh and good quality ingredients made everything more enjoyable. Love this place. Will definitely keep visiting!

We've been twice, both times at lunch on Fridays. Biggest tip is you can skip the line and seat yourself at the bar in the back and they'll wait on you. I love their Top Shelf Patron margarita, superb! And the queso is as they say Damn Good. I'm a cheese freak and always enjoy a really good queso but even my husband who usually eats a bit and leaves me the majority fights for an equal portion of this deliciousness. First visit we did a Baja Shrimp taco and the Green Chili Pork Missionary Style which is from their secret menu. Both were excellent. Second visit we repeated the secret pork taco and also got the Naughty Santa from the secret menu which has grilled shrimp - OMG that was a Damn Good taco. Bartenders have been excellent both visits. I wish this place was closer to where we live.

For better or worse your experience may vary... Sunday morning trip around 1045am. There was a decent crowd with more people coming in as time passes. The cool thing is that taco are single so you can try all the different flavors. There's a bar and Torchys has there own cocktail menu. The wait for food was 5-8 minutes. Nice sized outdoor seating with some seats covered. No heater or fans that I could see this particular day. The flour tortillas are soft and fluffy. It worked really well with the breakfast tacos. The shrimp tacos were delicious. I could eat the shrimp by themselves - seasoned very well. My wife didn't enjoy the chicken taco with the corn tortilla. Queso was flavorful with a good amount of spice. Overall would definitely return. Very kind and respectful staff as well.

This was my first visit and I'll admit I had a difficult decision picking from the menu. I got the Street Corn, if I had been there earlier I would have picked a more breakfast oriented item. As you enter you will find a selection of merch to provide memories of your visit. The staff immediately took my order. Be sure if you want a take out order to tell them as it reduces the wait time. The restaurant has an outdoor patio and it was a perfect day to enjoy the fresh air. Inside there is a bar area for drinks. I was impressed that they were checking with the dine-in guests to ensure they were enjoying their experience and to assist with additional needs. The prices were about normal for meals today. The meal was promptly prepared and I enjoyed it.

8/31 edit: it happened again, FOUR visits in a row. "No onion extra slaw" for one taco turned into both being served without slaw. I used to be a weekly customer, but I'm tired of helping prep food I paid for. It's not a hard order. ----- 7/20/24 edit: I'm not sure what's happening but multiple times in the last few weeks my food has come out wrong, and I've basically had to put my own taco back together with the missing ingredient rather than it being a kitchen fix. It seems like QC is missing. I hope it's corrected, I want them to succeed. _________________ One of the best managed and staffed businesses in Raleigh. Very consistent quality and service. Try the Baja Shrimp and Mr. Orange!
