A rounded up 4 for this one! I originally discovered Torcy's in Houston and had been to a couple Phoenix locations. I was excited to try the Raleigh one since I had a free taco to redeem as part of the reward program. I came on Thursday around 830 PM and sat at the bar for full service (it's also an order at the counter type in the front portion). It's a nice enough spot in the middle of a shopping complex, so great and convenient for stopping for a quick bite in the middle of errands. It was not very crowded or busy, so I was waited on immediately. I ordered the democrat (barbacoa, onions, cilantro, avocado) taco on a corn tortilla and a top shelf margarita ($2 off on Thursdays). My bartender was really friendy and the taco came out fast, under 5 minutes. The drink was tasty and refreshing. The barbacoa, while tender and juicy, was lacking a bit in flavor. It was a good size taco though (as one would expect for over $5 a piece) and I'd definitely be interested in trying some of their other items- I think they have a secret menu too so that would be fun to look into.

Tried the threesome dip selection.and the fo sho veggie taco. The dips were all pretty good, although the guacamole didn't have a lot added to it (so it was mostly just mashed avocado). The chips are thin but still hold onto the dips and sauces well (which were all nicely thick). I'm not always a fan of a corn tortilla but these had a great consistency and, for a veggie taco, there was a nice balance of softer ingredients to crunchy veggies. The sauce (on the side for this taco) was medium hot but just of OK flavor, so I didn't really use it. My companions both had the pork Chile taco and enjoyed theirs as well. Prices are fairly reasonable for the portions. A little on the higher side. Service was quick. Cons? It is acoustically loud inside and the fountain drinks were not calibrated well although the variety of drinks is nice. Would try again.

TORCHY'S TACOS 3.5 OUT OF 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 * I'm going to be honest, this was a tough review for me. I gave out my first 1/2 star because I was torn. So overall, @torchystacos are very tasty. The portions are full for a 'street taco' and the flavors are definitely there. I especially loved the Jalapeno Sausage and the Fried Avocado. * My biggest complaint is the price. The guac we got as a starter was $7.50 and y'all, we had to add salt to the chips and the guac. It was pretty basic. Each taco is $4.50 to $5.50. While filling, it's just a lot of money for 2 people. It was about $40 for guac, 4 tacos and 2 sodas. * The vibe was great. Loved the music. Just not worth the sticker price, to me. I will also clarify that I am dairy free, so I removed the cheese from every item and did not try the queso. I'm grateful they could make that accommodation for me.

We love having a fast and yummy taco place in a great location! We live about 20 minutes from here, but we have a lot of appointments in the area. So we usually grab some tacos really quick if we're in the area!

The tacos and ingredients are always very fresh! We've never had a bad experience here. It's a fast/casual place and sometimes it is harder to get a table. You order at the register, grab a pager, and then place it on the table you sit at. The food will come to you and it's very fast!

My favorite taco here is on the "secret menu." It's called the Green Chile Pork Missionary Style. I could eat 10 of these if I had the stomach room for it! You can tell they slow roast their pork low and slow. It's very tender. It has green chiles, pickled onions, guacamole, and fresh cheese and cilantro. It's then sandwiched between a crispy shell and a soft flour shell with cheese in between. Think of an upscale pulled pork quesadilla taco. So dang good!

My family and friends love to get their breakfast tacos. I'm not the biggest fan of the kind of eggs they use, maybe they put too much egg in them, but they're just ok to me! But they LOVE them!

The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because sometimes its overwhelming inside when you're trying to order and occasionally they have put extra ingredients on the tacos that were not on the menu that we didn't care for. The tables aren't cleaned off as good as some other restaurants, but that's probably because they are typically really crowded and they don't have time to clean them in between guests. Overall, great quick place for some tacos and a must try if you're...

Me and my wife are regulars at Torchy's and we came for dinner on 05/28/2024 at 9:25 PM. The cashier was cleaning her fingernails on the cash register and I felt like I was interrupting her. After the order, there was a quiet end to the transaction. No half smile and no communication. I asked her if they had cups for water and she proceeded to take a cup from the bar area, which was fine, and filled it almost half full. I took the cup to the dispenser and filled it with water. I thought this was the slow night crew and laughed it off.

The bartender was on the same level. We ordered 2 beers. Both beers looked dead flat and she filled both glasses 3/4 full. I asked her what happened to the beer. She said it was empty (keg) and they were about to close. She looked at me like i was panhandling for beer. I return the beer and told her I wanted a refund. She got the manager on duty and he looked a little annoyed. No light apologies for selling me flat looking unfilled glasses of beer. No questions regarding the cause for refund. He was going through the motions. The cashier and bartender were young and the place was cold so I would have given a pass on this matter. But a manager with the same careless attitude made me go to Google. I told him to check the reviews and he looked at me and walked away. A simple light apology would have suffice. I always keep my word so this...

I've been wanting to try Torchy's Tacos and decided to take a drive an give it a whirl today. I ordered take out through the app which was a simple and quick process. My order was ready when I arrived and it was correct. Now, the food itself. Not impressed, I'm sorry to say. I really wanted to love it, but alas, it was not to be. My son and I each ordered 2 different tacos and I also got an order of Mexican rice. My son got the Chicken Fajita taco and the Crossroads. He said they were ok, but he's had better. I got the Naughty Santa and the Mr. Orange. The Mr. Orange didn't taste like anything but salmon. The other ingredients (what there was of them) were lost in the salmon flavor. The Naughty Santa was better and had much more flavor, but I think that was due to the Chorizo. The shrimp was tasteless and over cooked. I had the same issue with the Mexican Rice. It was also tasteless and over cooked to the point of almost being mushy. The only good thing was the free chips and queso that we got from my rewards account. We haven't tasted them yet, so I can't comment on whether they are tasty or not, but the freebie was a plus. All in all, I spent $29 and felt like it was not money well spent. Not sure if we'll be back or not as we were very disappointed with this...
