When you're looking for chain pan-SWANA food thats ready quickly and inexpensively--and in the IE we're lucky to have such a thing--there are only a few options, and after eating at Luna Grill a few times, and at a few locations, I can report that this is my favorite.
Everything I've had has been good good, and has been good for the price. It's not Michelin; it's for the people. And every Luna I've been to has had a fair number of people in it, while having available tables, and has had the sort of diverse clientele that encourages you to believe: it's not just me, this is good food by the metrics of folks who enjoy this food (as opposed to the sort of folks who want to eat Panda Express but not from Chinese Food #7).
The atmosphere for me is one of those things that doesn't matter until it matters. And I like the lighting, the music, the state of the restrooms; I like the ethos behind the food coming out on recycled plates--given that I'm paying $15 a plate, which is what McDonalds is asking for, some non-plastic considerstion is nice. I like the tables, I like the menu's wording and font size and brightness, I like the temperature in the lobby, I like that there's coloring pages (a little encouragement to eat with our kids, not just next to them).

Read moreThe place looked inviting from the outside, clean and somewhat friendly at first. I couldn't decide what to get at first but I did order a salad. For what I got it really wasn't worth the price I paid. When I got my salad I noticed it didn't have any dressing on it so I asked the young girl if she could bring me some. She comes back with a tiny plastic container, and I said that does not seem like it's going to cover the entire salad so I asked for another tiny portion like the one she had just brought. She then frowned and told me that there would be an extra charge. What a joke! So I played along with her game and asked her so how much. She replied she didn't know and would check, and come back. She came back and told me how much, so I told her you know what it wasn't really that great anyway so I said no. She then goes back to the girl in the register who took my order and they both had some laughs. If this is how they value and appreciate their customers I will not be coming back. I regret giving them a tip, and you will never see me coming back here again . As a last note I want to say that your customer service is deplorable.

Maria stood out for her knowledge of the menu and her warm, friendly demeanor. She helped us customize our order to suit our preferences and dietary needs, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our meal. She regularly checked in on us, ensured we had everything we needed, and maintained a kind and attentive presence the entire time.
I also want to recognize Alisa, who provided outstanding service with a constant smile. Her positive energy made us feel right at home. She was always on the move, staying busy while still being attentive to our table—clearing our plates promptly and checking in on us regularly. It’s clear she takes pride in her work.
A big thank-you as well to Marco, the cook, who was knowledgeable about the ingredients and made sure everything was prepared according to my spouse’s dietary requirements. His attention to detail and care did not go unnoticed.
