A friend took my puppy and me here to sit on the "dog friendly" patio months ago. A server did not come outside so my friend went inside to order. While I was on the patio, a man approached from behind startling my puppy and me. My puppy accidentally got his leash wrapped around the guys legs. As the man walked back inside, he announced loudly to the bar my puppy had bit him. Not true! The waitress came outside to ask me about the incident. My friend and I explained that the guy was in the wrong for approaching from behind and my puppy accidentally wrapped the leash around the guys legs. The waitress offered water for my puppy. She came back outside with a metal bucket used for cigarette butts full of dirty water. I was offended and upset. After writing a review on Facebook, I was called a liar by the owner and his regulars chimed in to support him. I was asked to give them a second chance by management. Went there last night and was kicked out for leaving an honest review months ago. Terrible treatment of not only...
Read moreIn response to Ms. Montavon's post, I also feel compelled to weigh in. I was in attendance the night they came in with their kids. I have spent considerable time at Andys, even since I was myself a kid. It has always been a place that was inclusive and promoted family for dining.
The children in question were hollering, screaming intermittently and disruptive. The parents had been coached on it two times that I was aware of. When the owner finally had to raise his voice to stop the behavior, it was due to the neglect of the parents in addressing the situation themselves. The behavior of the children was so disruptive that patrons were leaving the establishment. They were losing customers due to your lack of control over your children.
Instead of rating a local place that we treasure so harshly due to your feelings, please take a minute to review your own actions and the causal factors of the owner needing to do what was needed due to the threat to his business.
Food for thought. ...
Read moreI have always had great service at Andy’s. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic! My go to is always the bacon cheeseburger with stuffed spuds. As far as Ms. Montavon’s review, I was at Andy’s during the time she speaks about, which was 6:00…typical dinner time. The kids, a group of hockey players who were upstairs, were exceptionally loud with a lot of yelling. It was difficult to hear the person I was sitting next to over the noise. The owner had already asked the group to tone it down. Yes, Andy’s is a bar and grill, but it is also a place families come to enjoy dinner. That does not mean groups of screaming people have the right to disrupt the dining experience of others because “bar” is in the name of the business. That type of behavior would not be tolerated at other dining establishments, either. If you don’t want to enforce your children to use proper manners and social skills, please go elsewhere so the rest of us can...
