Came to try Batter Rebellion. Restaurant decor is nice and welcoming, Very modern. Staff is good but there are a few that work here who management needs to speak with about personal hygiene. Faded dyed red hair and a dog hair covered black work shirt is not appropriate for food service. Apart from that, food presentation was great. I ordered a few things to try, first time here. This is my list #1. Fish outta water #2. Rebel Ruben #3. Foul mouth #4. Chicken crossed the road #5. Obscene poutine *Fish out of water sounded very appetizing on the menu. Unfortunately they give you a small portion of fish and a large portion of batter surrounding it. I wasn’t at all intrigued by the dish. All bread in my opinion. * The Rebel Ruben was good, flavorful. The side of Criss cut fries were not a good paring for the dish. They have nothing else to offer In replacement. *The foul mouth was very good. Lots of flavor and the cornbread waffle was delicious, chicken on top was delicious as well. I do wish there was a bit more chicken, as the waffle serving is quite big. *Chicken crossed the road, was a huge disappointment. Sounded amazing but the pairing of spicy mustard and pickles just turned off my taste buds. The menu says “mustard” not spicy. Again the paring of criss cut fries for this meal leave you wanting more. *Obscene poutine was disappointing as well, sounded extremely appetizing on the menu but lacked poutine. A lot of other things going on in there which was OK but with a name obscene poutine you would expect a lot more poutine and again not Criss cut fries smh.

Wow! This place looks amazing! You can really tell they put a lot of time effort and energy into it. And what's even better than that is the food and drinks are fantastic too! Seriously. They really have some unique flavors and fun spins on traditional foods. The chef really knows his stuff. We started with the upstream poki with edamame puree and the flavors were yummy. The puree added a nice creaminess. I was craving some chicken and waffles and I wasn't let down. They make their own bourbon maple syrup and several types of waffles. We did the southwest (my wife is from TX) and it had cornbread waffles!! Yep, I didn't know what to expect either. It still had a perfect waffle batter taste with that fun unique spin. It also had a corn aioli that paired really well. Being real, the chicken wasn't my favorite, but the syrup makes it better. We also got Pig Out which was nice and spicy and super flavorful. Warning! Not healthy at all!! Oh and the drinks, I'm impressed. They aren't the aren't the sterotypical girly drinks but again they had a fun spin. I tried their vanila vodka Old Fashion and I would definitely order it again. They have several different types of food: burgers, noodles, chicken n waffles, poki appetizer and several fried options from waffles to waffle fries. The owners seem like awesome people as well! This place has only been open for a few weeks as I'm writing this so definitely go check it out!!

Where to start but such an amazing experience! Taco Thursday @ Batter Rebellion was a hit and is officially one of our favorites! An overall pleasant and amazing experience with not only the food but with every single one of the staff that helped us tonight. Cleanliness and safely is priority and social distancing was respected; every table even has their own hand sanitizer to use! When we arrived, the restaurant was full but we're promptly greeted and offered drinks at the bar... If you are a dark beer drinker, the Maui Coconut Porter on nitro is gonna be your go-to! We ordered a few different Rebellion tacos to try and the 'Mac Attack' basket with Mac n' Cheese balls and crisscut fries sprinkled with truffle seasoning... Yum!! Everything from the meats, veggies, salsas and seafood was fresh! Our server Marisa was such a sweetheart and fell in love with her joyful personality. Everything about our experience was worth the drive to Redlands from Palm Springs for dinner and would do it again! This place is a must to try... TRUST ME! Definitely a 10/10! Thank you for having us Batter Rebellion!

I really really wanted to like this place. I love the vibe. Food menu looked great however, our first interaction with the hostess was not very pleasant. I walked in and told her we had made reservation. She says I don’t have anything on my list. I said I made it about three hours ago. She said that’s why, you have to make a day before, so you want to sit at the bar? I said well that’s odd..Maybe it shouldn’t allow you to make reservations On the day of if it’s not going to be honored. She looked at Me and my husband with such annoyance and said again sooooo The bar? My husband said yes that’s fine. Mind you 8 1/2 months pregnant and I asked her if we could just have a table, but I guess it wasn’t an option and she looked at us like a disturbance and not a customer. After that, we sat at the bar and ordered our drinks. Bartender was pleasant and nice. My husband Said The drink he got was amazing. at one point a couple came in to sit at the bar, but there was only one chair me and my husband scoot over and said why don’t you bring a chair over we’ll make room for you. The hostess, then walks over to them and says you can’t stand at the bar,We have to walk through there so you’d be in the way. You would think she would have offered to bring him a chair, considering there is so many around. The couple said no we’re just gonna leave and find another place to go to. They went up to me and said ‘thank you for being kind, Looks like it lacks around here. We ordered our food and it took quite a while. When I received my food, there was a hair in it, which is unfortunate because it looked amazing. I told the bartender and She went to get it swapped out. She apologized. My husband had finished his food and drink, and I still hadn’t received mine. By the time it got there, I ate it only because I was starving, but it looked a little sloppy. It would’ve been a great gesture if I was not charged for my food or perhaps another apology, but it seemed like they were too busy to give proper customer service, it’s unfortunate because like I said, I really wanted to like this Place, however, customer...

You can tell from the moment you walk into Batter Rebellion that it is a labor of love and that the owners are excited for you to be there. From the moment I walked in, the staff was kind, helpful, informative, and excited to be there. They made the experience truly amazing. Every staff member was wearing a mask, including the bar and kitchen staff. They ensured that tables were spaced 6 feet apart, and that they didn’t seat anyone too closely that wasn’t included in your party. The music that played throughout the restaurant was on point; not too loud to still converse with your party, but fun enough to further contribute to the eclectic atmosphere. The decor is done so well. I especially love the raw wood details and the tile done by the bar and roll up bar! Now, the food - that’s where the review really counts. I’ve tried everything. The food is delicious. The Black Sheep is made with a charcoal bun and bacon jam, oh my goodness, I don’t think I can ever eat a normal burger again. The poke nachos are filled with a plethora of chunks of poke, delicious sriracha aioli, avocado and pico de Gallo. They have these garlic fries that are to-die-for incredible. The kids meals are the perfect portion and my kids begged for more! The macaroni balls are stupendous. The little fowl mouth was perfectly prepared and came with copious amounts of syrup. I’ve also eaten the Bloody Cesar Salad, and obscene poutine. Both portions are generous and taste incredibly delicious. In addition, we had the Let It Roll spring rolls, and the Napoleon. Each item was presented beautifully and tasted as scrumptious as it looked. Now, the signature cocktails and the beer selection is astounding. I highly recommend the Signature Cocktail - Bad Blood. It’s sweet and savory and definitely leaves you wanting more. This restaurant is a beautiful Redlands gem, and I’m so excited to watch this establishment flourish. The owners made sure to come by each table and speak to guests. They truly cared about our experience and the quality of the food. Check it out! You won’t be...
