IHOP — Restaurant in Redlands

I've been here a handfull of times as a kid transitioning through life and me in my family or friends have always found the place hospitable but this morning we were not greeted by a friendly smile nor a parking spot that I wanted my truck close enough to feel comfortable with in distance ... We were the only ones in the restaurant this morning and we ordered our own separate breakfast meals I got the pancake combo special I believe it was with any two pancakes that are the same. two pieces of bacon. 2 scrambled eggs .and an order of hash browns. I got the pancakes that are the strawberry banana ones with them cooked into the pancakes. But I literally only had one banana slice that was cooked into one pancake , just one slice . Just one ..and all of the other toppings like the strawberries and the banana slices were on top of it there was maybe about 6 small slices of strawberries and maybe 4 small slices of banana with the pancakes . And just a little bit of that strawberry syrup. And then I had to even ask her to please bring sum more strawberry syrup..like I had to like ask for it . And I know she wasn't busy we were the only people there at 6 this morning ...I feel bad for my friend because I was buying him a breakfast and he felt the same exact way when he got the blueberry pancakes, like they were just doing the bear minimum .and they gave him like this is really small pathetic looking blueberries that barely came with even enough blueberry sauce to barely make a bullseyes sized spot on his top pancake it was pretty bogus and I don't recommend parking in the back to many homeless living behind the shell gass...

This IHOP was pretty good for a nice evening out. I only wish that they had a better birthday meal. Someone in our group try to order the $5 all-you-can-eat pancake stacker but they told us they wasn't honoring that advertisement we found that kind of weird due to the fact that they had a poster on it right by their front door. If you're not going to accompany the advertisement take the poster down! The waitress refilled my son's cup of drink. But as mines got low she didn't even ask me if I needed a refill. I dropped my glass to tell her I would like another drink she grabbed my glass and quickly ran off but I wanted to tell her instead of the drink I previously had, I would like a Sprite. As we were trying to order for us all in the group. The waitress do not even ask us if we would like a baby's menu for my grandson so when we ordered we all just divvied up food from our plates to feed him. My son was not satisfied with the price. He was trying to add it up in his head why it came to such a high price just for the four of us. I know for sure that I will not be going there again for a birthday celebration due to the fact that they only had one cake choice which was chocolate fudge to choose from. Her evil look she had on her face was surely not welcoming me a happy birthday or welcome to IHOP. I did like the clean bathrooms. I didn't mind my table spot that we had gotten. There wasn't as much noise as I thought it would be considering we were sitting next to the kitchen door entrance. So thankful with all that was going on, my birthday was not a...

I watched our waitress trade a coffee pot with a customer who was already eating, then she put the pot back behind the wall but I could still see it on the counter. She then came to our table and took our drink order. I was having coffee. Our waitress then went to get our drinks. Grabbing the coffee pot she had just removed from that other customer I watched her fill it up and bring it to me. It had not been washed. When I asked her if that was the same pot I kinda got that deer in headlights look. She took the pot back and I watched her get another one off a different shelf but I could not help but wonder if it had been washed. I had blueberry crepes for my breakfast and I was really looking forward to them. I have had them many times in my lifetime and IHOP always made the perfect crepe. Thin, crepe wrapped around blueberry compote with a splash more on top. Yum. But I was greatly disappointed this time. My plate arrived with a thick pancake folded into a triangle with a blob of cold blueberry compote on top. It was cooked golden brown on both sides. Nasty. I must say, quality of food and Cleanliness are lacking. Especially in this day of covid. The health dept would shut you down for serving the same pot of coffee to two customers before it got washed.
