So many good things to say about what could have been a disaster. First off, Jose's has great food. I've only tried the steak and chicken fajitas without peppers and onions due to my onion allergy, but they are so good. Anyways, my son had a birthday party last Saturday and I went with Jose's again because the food was delicious last time we had it. Anyways, I placed the order on Thursday and picked it up on Saturday. Food was hot and ready to go. I didn't check it, because I didn't think I needed to honestly. Last time I ordered, there was no problem so this time I assumed the same thing. I should have checked. My fault. Anyways, I ordered the chicken and steak fajita platters with no onions because I'm allergic, and no peppers. I don't mind peppers but I didn't want them in the food. When I got home and opened the food, the smell from the onions almost had me puking everywhere. The chicken had onions and peppers. The steak had peppers. I was angry beyond words. I called and repeated no onions a lot when I ordered, so finding the putrid onions made me furious. There were peppers in the steak, but the onions in the chicken was inexcusable. I called the restaurant, and the girl was very nice and extremely apologetic. I demanded that I be brought a new tray of chicken without onions, and I was very angry. This was a party for my child and after all the hectic stuff we went thru, I was not going to let this mistake by the restaurant go without them fixing it. Thirty minutes later, Jose's came and delivered a new chicken fajita tray without onions and the other tray with the onions was all gone. Some people don't mind onions, but I wanted what I ordered and paid for. Jose's went above and beyond to correct their mistake, and that speaks volumes. I give them 5 stars, and if you want great quality Mexican food than this is the place. I'm allergic to onions, but my husband loves their shrimp cocktail and they have other good food too. Thanks again, for...
Read moreStrike one, I bought my husband and I a breakfast burrito. I truly enjoyed mine. My husband told me that he took a few bits and there were egg shells. He didn’t mind the first time but more bites after that, still egg shells. Strike two, I told my co workers about the burritos because the price was fair. My co worker came back really upset. Stating that one of the ladies was rude and they messed up on our order. Should have not recommend this place because a lot of my co workers did not get their order correctly. Strike three, my dad wanted to meet at Chinese food next door but cannot dine in. I chose Jose once again, because due to COVID there isn’t much dinning in. Restaurant was next to it so to make things easier we when there.
My dad asked about the special and what comes with it. He wanted the burrito wet with not much in the burrito. We sat at a table. All tables look dirty like no one whipped it down? I thought places should be more clean due to COVID. I got out once a week and never saw a restaurant’s table that dirty. Finally our food came in. My dad explained that he ordered his burrito wet. The lady argued with my dad stating on the receipt states otherwise. I looked at her like really ? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
It GETS WORSE! She came back and MADE MY DAD PAY FOR THE $2.00 DIFFERENCE! I am in so much shock that she really did that. It isn’t our fault you didn’t get the order right?
I went to the restroom, disgusting. Not clean either! It takes a lot for me to rate one star. I don’t understand how people can go in and actually eat there with disgusting restrooms and dirty tables that look like that haven’t...
Read more$28.56 for a to-go order consisting of a house asada steak platter, 2 corn tortillas, a large drink and an extra side order of rice and beans. The asada steak was nearly paper thin and it was small. The platter comes with such tiny portions of rice and beans that you need to get an extra side order to fill fed, that costs an extra $4.19! Yeah for 9.5 oz of rice and beans. (11/20/21)
A friendly staff, clean and quiet restaurant atmosphere with the return of indoor seating. The food is very expensive (as of 11/20/21) on the $$$ side for Mexican food. They used to give a fair amount of food, but they have cut their portion sizes considerably. They claim the current supply chain shortages (11/2021) are the reason for the changes, but other restaurants haven't raised their prices or cut their portion sizes. There's no shortages of rice and beans in CA. IMO the restaurant is just using the situation as an excuse to gouge customers. Let's see if the prices and portion sizes return to normal when the supply chain shortages get fixed. Considering that most of their food on the menu uses rice and beans which are extremely cheap as an expense for a restaurant to buy, they need to increase their portions and decrease their prices where rice and beans are used... Since there's not much atmosphere as a sit down restaurant anymore, you're gonna get more value for your money at Taco...
