New York City Sub Shop Redmond — Restaurant in Redmond

I had never gone to New York Sub Shop in redmond. The cashier she was very friendly and helpful. The cook in the back however was very rude. I had never been there and didn't know that I needed to get my own food from the window and they didn't have a "pick up here" sign as other places do. It is also on the side of the kitchen and I didn't know that's where I needed to get it from. I went to go get my food and he said "For safety reason I am not able to leave from back here. It's best I don't anyways" (which I understood) As I was leaving I was looking in the bag I noticed there was no fork in my bag. I started looking around and saw they only had spoons, the cook said in a very rude and annoyed tone of voice "Everything you need is in the bag" and I walked out. I'm so Happy there is a New York City Sub Shop in Redmond,Or. I lived next door to the owner Andrew in Hood River in 1992. My first sub was at the Hood River location. It's been years since I have had one and on Wednesday we ate there and it tasted just like I remember. Thank you Andrew for bringing New York City Subs to Central Oregon.

We found ourselves in Redmond and hungry for a sub, but wanted a local shop rather than a chain. A quick google search came up with New York City Sub Shop, so we decided to chance it.... WOW. It is now the only shop we will go to when we're in Central Oregon (yes, it's worth driving up from Bend). The staff was friendly, the ingredients were fresh, and the bread was some of the best I have ever had- good enough that I would happily just eat some of it with a little butter.
