I was there last week for dinner with my husband and it was around 5pm and it was slow. We stepped up to order our food and a hispanic short female with a nose piercing took our order. She took our order and was a bit on the rushy side. She made an adjustment when we ordered one milk shake and a strawberry malt. When she totaled our order we explained that we would like teriyaki on our mushroom char burger. She expressed to us that she would tell the cook to add it.
We waited a while and we could not figure out why it was taking so long it was not busy. We waited patiently until the same clerk brought the strawberry shakes to us. She placed them down and I said, "excuse me? which one is the malt?". She just looks over her shouler with an attitude and shruggs her shoulders and says "they just say 2 strawberries". This was the same person that helped us 10 minutes ago prior to this and my husband went up to the counter to correct it. The same girl that took our order was now making his strawberry malt.
After getting that sorted out, my husband bites his hamburger and THERE IS NO TERIYAKI SAUCE like the girl explained she would tell the cook. He gets up a second time, but now its a different female working at the counter. He goes up to explain that he ordered teriyaki sauce on his hamburger and the girl who is totally incompetent just hands him a teriyaki sauce very rudely.
At this point I am extremely upset that our experienced was interupted by workers who are incompetent. I DID NOT ENJOY MY DINNER! I wanted to call the corporate to forward my complaint to them. I walk up to the counter and the same rude lady that handed my husband the teriyaki sauce was there. I said, "excuse me, what is your co-worker with the nose piercing's name?" She just looked at me like I was not speaking english. I ask the same question again and she says, "I don't know!" I replied back with, "so you don't know who you work with?" and she just shrugged her shoulders. I ask her, "what is your name?" and again the dumb founded look of disbelief and she responds with "I don't know!". I demand a manager at that point. I hear all of them SPEAKING SPANISH, which is completely rude and her attitude was disgusting. They all say a few more things in Spanish to each other until a total imcompetent Manager comes forward.
A guy name Ivan who claims he is the manager for that location comes up after speaking spanish among his workers right infront of me. I ask him for the names of his two employees and he says he cannot give them out. I expressed that he worked in a public place that it is law that they all have name tags and if asked what an employee is name is, the public has the right to know. He said he would not give them out. All he said was sorry and he was not sorry because after I explained our horrible experience and I told him I will be contacting corporate right now which I googled searched and had visible on my phone. I told him I will be calling them and telling them about how unprofessional you all are and I will be finding out all of your names and you will end up having to wear a name badge, which is required!
He just said I am sorry and as I turned to walk away to finish my review, he said wait. So as I was standing there him and the cooks were conversing in spanish and it is very unethical for people to speak spanish especially when you are familiar with certain words. I heard "a la verriga!", being said back and forth as Ivan turned around to walk to the back. He came back with some coupons, but after hearing him talking out loud back and forth with his cooks and meal prep, they were discussing me. I reaearched the word they said and in spanish it means "fu*@ it". I have decided to put my horrible experience up after finding out what they were saying and I want to express that as an American we speak english here. There is a time and place to speak spanish or what ever background employees come from. Don't sit there and talk crap in your language just because the customers that day were non-latino customers....
Read moreHabit Burger makes an incredible char-grilled burger. I particularly like it with Avocado and Bacon, extra Pickles and Raw Onions (along with the carmelized onions that are already on it along with a fresh tomato slice) -- also, sweet potato fries rounds it out to be a wonderful treat.
I also like their Caesar Salad -- with the optional crumbled hard boiled egg on it along with the traditional croutons and dressing.
As wonderful as the food is, I'm afraid I have to take marks away for lack of consistency -- I always order through Order Ahead so it can be delivered -- and this Habit Burger Grill has made major mistakes in 2 orders out of 12 in the last couple of months. It's too bad -- the food is so good -- if only you could be sure what you're going to get. Perhaps someone at Habit Burger Grill will be paying attention to their customers and read reviews like this one.
This would have had 5 stars if there were less mistakes made...
Read moreWe used to like this place. Last visit the employees were rude and enforcing seriously cheap rules no doubt imposed by the local manager or headquarters. First as the cashier was entering my orderi saw that she charged me $0.80 for extra bbq sauce. She didn't tell me she was going to do this of course. I asked and she said they must charge for condiments other than ketchup. Ridiculous.
I was there with two kids and one of them ordered a child meal with the little gummy burger candy. My other child wanted one too and we nicely asked. The guy grumbled without even looking at us "only one per child meal". Couldn't spare one with my other child's $15 burger and fries. Even more ridiculous.
Then as I was eating my burger I noticed they failed to even include the bbq sauce for which they charged me $0.80.
So we won't be returning. They made an extra $1 on our $45 burger meal for 3 and lost a repeat customer to do it....
