So I ate here three days in a row bc it was a close walk from my friend's house I was staying at. The food is really good, however I did get potatoes once that had a hair in them 🥲 The French toast is phenomenal. My friend got the veggie delight sandwich and loved it. The fries stand out to me due to the crispiness! So good but def need more salt and seasoning, same with the roasted potatoes. The wheat pancakes are pretty tasty, but not extraordinary. They have good black coffee with free refills. The water is alright, comes with lemon in it. You go inside and place your order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table, for anyone with anxiety. And then you can go grab a glass of water yourself next to where you order. The staff was either super friendly or just subpar, no public restroom and the hair in the potatoes are the reason for removal of one star. Also dog friendly patio! And it's pretty too with flowers...

Came here for the first time as a date with my partner, and it was a great first impression. The food was in great portions for its price, and the owner and staff were super kind. It was a nice laid back place, and even though it could be a little loud outside with the train, and the cafe being right next to some heavy foot traffic- it still had a really nice atmosphere, and sitting inside made us feel both secure and comfortable. Would definitely go here again, and I suggest the same for anyone as it's easily walkable if you're in downtown redwood city, and need...

Meh, they had a great Chai Latte (sweet), but their grilled cheese was an emotional shot to the gut. Such a simple sandwich and it was just... Bad. Tasteless. The French Fries had good flavor but were overcooked.

I will say that despite being right next to the train station there was no overwhelming amount of sound, nor were there crazy hobo bikes blasting offensive music or other forms of craziness. I would go here to try another dish because it seems like there's more for this place to offer, but the food was the only real let down here.

Next time...

1st time here but I've been passing it for years. Located on the sequoia station, Southside of the train tracks. This place is a lovely surprise. Indoor and outdoor sitting, you come in and place your order first, then have a seat. They'll bring the food to you and quickly. Prices are good based on the portion. Just make sure you leave room for dessert. Alcohol also served here.

Met some ladies here for lunch. We sat outside and it was a lovely day. Had one of the chicken salads. Good size portions! The grilled chicken was really tasty. Great for a quick lunch in downtown Redwood City. The train tracks are right there so if you like trains five stars if not maybe one less. 😄
