The service was fine, the food was poorly cooked, and the portions seem to target a family of 26. Though... the place doesn't advertise itself as a 2-Star Michelin Restaurant either. The rice was hard at moments and the tortillas felt rubbery. The Nachos were plenty but not tasty. The Horchata was very tasty though.... It just feels like the business model is to push out bulk portions, and at that point the quality control let them down. I'm sure if things were just cooked well and fresh everything would be fine, but that wasn't even done well. As a solo patron, I paid for 3 churros and got about 5ft of tough, rewarmed churro that felt like it was fried 5 hours ago and then tossed into a bag. It was not a good tasting thing. Also, the establishment is dirty, like.... I don't need a glamorous looking trash can, but even here it seemed like you would rather place your food somewhere near the trash can and let the employees take it the final mile.... Perhaps on a different day the food would be fine, and that does seem to be the focus of the business model, but today things were rough. I probably won't go back, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't, this place just doesn't match me, but there seemed to be plenty of people getting food too. My guess is that the portions are good for 3 people to eat here, but as a solo patron it just didn't make sense for me.

Food was NOT good at all. As soon as we walked in there was a pile of trash that had been swept and left there. We ordered the taco and enchilada plate. Taco was ehh enchiladas has bland. The free Chips were not even in a container, they were out in the open in a tray pre made. The agua fresca was beyond sweet. I had to order an extra cup of water just to even it out. When I went to open it there was a fly floating in my water cup! Not worth the $30 dollars I spend there. When I went to go tell the lady there was a fly in the water she said "oh did it fall in there or did it come like that".....she didnt offer a new water, nor apologize, it was like and everyday thing to her.. I had to ask if I could get another one. Even tho I'm just passing by through town I will definitely not be recommending nor coming back here.

I had 2 of the Frank's Fish Tacos and some chips and Salsa. As I scrolled to write this I read from another guy that this isn't a place that cares to service everything or take your order but they brought out the food and said they'd bus the table, so Idgaf. The portion was big and 2 tacos were like 4 regular and that was hype. What did it for me is that in a world where 20 different taquerias all get their green and red from the same slop house, this place had flavor. Arguably this was a Guy Fieri moment. Sweet and favorable green sauce and a smokey red that wasn't just scovilles. That's rare and that's why I'm giving a 5. Not enough places try to be original with that.

2/2023: Tacos are now $2 even though their sign says $1.90. Add $1 for lengua and $2 for fish. Large horchata has increased to $5.

Still delicious. Lengua, cabeza, and fish all juicy and the default salsa added was great. Forgot to ask if they have flour tacos instead of the default corn. Accepts CC. Outdoor seating available.

1/2019: Tacos are now $1.50 here (still a good deal!).

I love their tacos.

A: Carnitas Al pastor Lengua Fish

A-: Goat Carne asada

I think which ones are best might depend a lot on what they just made fresh. The first time I came here, the carnitas was an A+, but then another time I came I thought the al pastor that they just freshly made was the best.

Not only were the tacos super juicy, but they seemed to have grilled even the tortillas so the tacos were awesomely hot to the touch. The tortillas don't seem to be homemade here. Free chips at the counter, and there aren't many places that make both excellent green and red salsa. Horchata a bit sweeter than usual, but good for cutting the spice. Takes credit card, and has a parking lot for about 15 cars.

It's easy to get confused with all the other similarly-named El Grullense taquerias in the area (but only one other is even related to this one), so going by the address is...
