Everyone I asked in Redwood City sent me to the same place: the Underground on Broadway. You can't miss it - it has a bright London Underground sign high up above the door. The first night I came was Comedy Night (Wednesday), which was a great chance to see some up-and-coming talent and meet the hard-working host. The bar staff are really friendly and welcomed me straight away with engaging conversation - they even helped me get in touch with a friend when my phone wasn't working. I was lucky to be there for Halloween, when the place was packed with costumed party-goers (all really well-behaved and good fun), both downstairs playing pool and beer pong, and upstairs on the dance floor. It was a total blast, and the staff went out of their way to address my vision for the event without any hesitation. This is a great space for any up and coming musical artist that is looking for an intimate venue with flexible options for stage/furniture layout, sound equipment, lighting and more. I didn’t have to bring any of my supplemental audio equipment to the gig as a lot of it was provided by the venue - that was super convenient!
