I recently had the pleasure of visiting Chapel Tavern, and it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere is dark and enticing, creating a unique and inviting ambiance that is hard to find elsewhere. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you step inside.
Their cocktail menu is a standout, offering a variety of creative and delicious drinks that change seasonally. One of my personal favorites is the "Baja Blast Off." This drink is a tropical, refreshing delight made with Blanco Tequila, Lime Cordial, Pineapple, Lemon, Blue Spirulina, and a Tropical Tincture. It's the perfect balance of flavors and a must-try for anyone visiting.
Other notable drinks on the menu include the "Dealer's Choice," where the bartender crafts a cocktail based on your spirit preference, and the "Consigliere, C.T.T.D.M.S.A.B," a sophisticated blend of Bourbon, Amaro, and Vermouth. The "Make It Snap Pea" is another refreshing option with its Snap Pea-infused Gin and Cucumber.
The "Daisy Duke," with Apricot-infused Mexican Rum and juicy berries, and the "Grimmia," featuring Shishito and Sichuan-infused Japanese gin, are both exceptional choices as well. For a vibrant highball with a kick, the "Thai Ball" with Coconut fat washed Dry Gin and Pineapple Amaro is not to be missed.
Chapel Tavern also boasts a cool biergarten, adding to the overall charm and appeal of the place. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Chapel Tavern is a must-visit spot for an unforgettable cocktail experience in a cool and...
Read moreI LOVE my Bloody Mary's and the Wakey,Wakey was beyond my expectation!! This uniquely made concoction with a dash of Guiness Beer and wait for it another of my favorites as a garnish, a panini grilled cheese with a slight hint of horseradish, bacon, and Chapel's very own pickled ensemble, medley of veggies to make this a meal in itself - OMHellllooooo I am in L-O-V-E!!
Now if that was not enough the bartendress gave us a show as she carefully placed the sugar on the rim of the coffee glass and then preceded to set it on fire - YES ON FIRE - for what was our Spanish Coffee. Dazzling us with sparkles/glitter that were like the a Fourth of July sparkler going off inside the bar. The Spanish Coffee was exactly what I remembered from our honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta right down to the lighting it on fire and fireworks if you will.
I have managed to make my way back to the Chapel in the evening and was impressed that I was able to tell the bartender what base alcohol I liked and once again was given an intoxicating elixir that I truly enjoyed. This tavern is definitely where to go whether in the day while bellied up to the bar, sitting out on their gorgeous patio or at night with your friends for a before or after...
Read moreMy husband and I had a night out (6/20) and around 7:00 p.m. we popped in. There were very few people at the bar but two bartenders. The bar cleared out within 10 minutes of us arriving. Even with no one in the bar the service was awful. We had one drink in the hour we were there and as we were about to close out a different bartender on a different shift came in and asked if we wanted something else before we left. The two that were there talked incessantly. There were two male bartenders who paid very little attention to anybody that was at the bar. My husband and I love to have cocktails, beers and shots. We could have easily had three if not four drinks but instead we finished one and looked at each other for the next hour and then had a shot right before we closed out. By that point we had been there just over an hour. I don't know if this is normal service or if it was just an off night but we couldn't believe it. We couldn't even get the bartenders attention because they were talking so much and had their backs turned to us most...
