Being honest my first order with pizzava my pizza was amazing i had high hopes in making this my new go to pizza place, but sadly only after my second order i will not be ordering from here again. I recieved my pizza and there was a small slice missing, i thought i was crazy was this really happening did i really get a pizza with a slice missing? I tried pushing the pieces together thinking that maybe it slid apart. Well that didn't work becuase trying to push it together it clearly had a peice missing because it wasnt going back together. I called them letting them know what happened and the guy i was talking to spoke to me as if i was lying. I had no reason to lie i literally was starving i paid extra to get the pizza i wanted and when i opened the box and saw the peice missing i didnt even know if it was safe to eat. The guy on the phone said he couldnt do anything and said to send an email. I did just that i recieved a message telling me that they checked the cameras the employees get free pizza so they would have no reason to take a slice of my pizza... but im telling you no lie swearing on everything i hold dear to me my pizza was missing a slice. On top of that i ordered a side salad and thr driver forgot it.. he asked me if i still wanted it. In my head i was like hell yea i paid for it, told the driver yes i did and he said he would have to drive back to deliver it. After seeing my pie with a slice missing and the driver having to come back 40 min later to give me my salad i was so sad i couldnt even eat. Never again Pizzava.. if ordering from this location (reno nv) better go in to pick it up because they will not recitfy the situation if something wrong...
Read morePizzava is brand new in town (circa Jan 2018) and my new favorite Reno pizza place by far. They strike the ideal balance between quality, speed, and price:
The ingredients are all super fresh with the pizza being made to order right in front of your eyes behind the counter glass. The dough is delicious and made in town by a local bakery. I ordered the BBQ chicken bacon pizza and absolutely loved it. The flavors blended perfectly with the premium cheese tying everything together nicely.
I would describe the pizzas as medium slim crust, not too thick but not paper thin. They pile on the toppings which makes the medium size enough for two moderately hungry people. From order to table the pizzas are out in a blazing fast 7 minutes making Pizzava perfect for a quick meal. They have a variety of drinks to choose from, salads, and a delicious NY style cheesecake dessert.
The restaurant interior is well designed with a modern feel to it. They have a few tables as well as some bar stool tables along the wall. They have upbeat music playing and there is a friendly atmosphere with the laid back staff. It connects with the soon to open Under the Rose brewery restaurant and Rum Sugar Lime cocktail lounge. I'm looking forward to the trio being fully open as it will be an awesome spot in midtown to frequent.
I spoke quickly with the owners since it was opening day; they are definitely savvy with running a business, but they are also locals so they understand the Reno market. Pizzava is a great addition to Midtown and I look forward to...
Read moreMarch 2025 update, reallllll wanted their pizza, the way it used to be. Nope, awful. Zero stars if I could. Good bye forever pizzava.
Jan 2025 update. No longer frequenting them. They changed their buffalo wings sauce to "is it buffalo wings sauce?" More like oily with a hint of color. No more boneless wings. The only thing consistent about their higher end pizza is the inconsistencies and guaranteed errors. Sometimes you don't get both. Seems like it's an entire different company the past few months. Boo
Update, lately 11/24/23 and 11/29/23 their pizza was phenomenal. So incredibly delicious, perfect toppings and placements. On 11/24 boneless wings are still having issues as they need to sauce them! And they were soggy. So we skipped them today. Pizza was so good and they've mastered their GF now too!
I'm super mixed on this place. I've got about 12 orders in about two months. Rarely is the order correct. It is a delicious place however you can't expect what you order to be made consistent or correct. 3/5 because their cauliflower crust is a yummy option! Really, try it! If they notice when you order the garlic parm crust, it's fantastic. They aren't usually skimpy with toppings either. Their boneless chicken is soggy and sometimes you get a dime size piece that counts as an actual piece 🫢. It's a crumb. Two stars off for consistent errors or forgetfulness. Ya just can't count on what you order to be as you order it, even when you don't deviate from a standard. You can count on the pizza to...
