Coffee N' Comics — Restaurant in Reno

The very first time I had come to this location, I had one man tell me that he would have bullied me in Highschool however he 'loves nerds now'. Another person here had routinely been standoffish to me and seemed to make it seem as though my presence was a burden.

I had a fifty year old man at this location joke how he will stalk me. An ex convict at this location would routinely employ intimidation tactics to other patrons. I was regularly coming to this location in hopes to find a place to fit in, however I felt just as lonely and isolated coming here (if not more) on a regular basis as I did staying at home.

This review isn't directed to any staff or the owner (which most have been really great), however I don't think it is acceptable that these patrons have acted this way, and as such, I cannot in good conscious return to this location.

I will be more than happy to update this review and provide a higher rating should these concerns be addressed.

As an addendum, I attempted to reach out to the owner of this establishment (Alex) regarding the man who had intimidated me and insinuated that there could be a serious threat my safety and well-being. Alex has not responded and I may be considering legal action against the individual responsible for menacing.

The owner has not once responded to either this post or messages personally reaching out to him.

Police report filed. I hope this business fails at some point. I hope the owner Alex is destitute someday. These people defend scumbags like...

First time going in this morning and had a wonderful experience.

Service was warm and welcoming.

Coffee is solid, there was a better food selection than I was aware of. I thought it was just gonna be muffins, bagels, and the such but they had hot meal options two and donuts that looked delicious.

I was also unaware that they server beer and wine and had a good setup for it.

The comic selection and nerdy must haves were all there and it is a wonderful place to hang out or go to work on a project while having a quick bite and a drink. Wifi was good and there was a thoughtful amount of places to plug in cell phones or laptops if you had brought your own chargers.

They're practicing appropriate COVID measures but definitely have a good setup for when things return to a more normal.

I recently had an incredible experience at Coffee N’ Comics in Reno. The service, provided by Alex, provided us with uncanny service. He served up a super powered and most delicious Oreo frappe that I can't praise enough - it was absolutely delightful. My companion enjoyed a vanilla Matcha which was equally exquisite. The ambiance, with its comic book shop vibes, adds to the charm of the place. Being both a coffee shop and a comic book shop, it's a unique combination that creates a welcoming atmosphere.
