We ordered for takeout around 6PM. On arrival it wasn’t busy there was only 1 table but nobody acknowledged us for at least 10 mins nobody asked if I needed help. I flagged down a worker and she didn’t even say anything but just walked off to the kitchen then grab my food after that she just slams it on the table and walked away. This was a Hispanic woman. We got chopsticks, wasabi, ginger but no soy sauce packets. The food was decent the rolls were either A LOT of hot sauce or just squeezed with A LOT the rolls all seem the same just added little difference. Angry Bird chicken just full with hot sauce wasn’t great and the miso soup was salty. Mussels are not even baked they just put Japanese mayo and sriracha but not baked like other sushi spots. This spot is pricey for long roll for $12 while at other sushi spots charge $7-$8. A lot of sushi items names are similar to the other sushi spots not very creative. Not worth the hype like...
Read moreVery impressed! Wasn't sure what to expect with this location being handed over so many times recently, but I think it could be a total hit.
Great sushi- super fresh fish, and everything I ate was delicious. The menu definitely has a good variety or raw vs cooked sushi rolls, and the raw rolls didn't skimp on the fish! If you did a la carte, I think you'd be plenty happy with the portion sizes for the price. Also loved that they had a variety mochi since most places in town have moved to just green the ice cream for dessert.
Staff were all very nice and enthusiastic, I think they are mostly just waiting for traffic to pick up now that they are open and people start realizing. Atmosphere was definitely a bit silly being one of the only people there during dinner time, but that's temporary I'm sure. Location is great since I've been hoping for some midtown/downtown sushi for a while now.
Wishing King sushi the best and hopefully it's...
Read moreThey need to work on a few things. Thegood: the food is amazing. The bad: the kitchen is in the back, they take your order on a piece of paper and then bring it out slowly. Even though there were only two other tables when i got here. Then there were several items either forgotten completely, or missed as they sent out something completely differet, likely for another table. It was then almost 15 minutes of staring at the walls before the server came and asked if we were ready for a check like if they were trying to get rid of us. We managed to get the missing items and ordered a one more item before asking for the Mochi. Have ti make sure to give a thorough review. They're still in my top ten, but missed the mark that could have placed them as part of my top 5. Hopefully they'll read this and figure out what...
