Our Bar — Restaurant in Reno

Went there after GF looked up a place close by for a Bloody Mary for me and a shot of Jack for herself and a bite to eat. She saw a few reviews about the Bloody Mary, and so we went to check it out. This is definitely not for an older crowd to go to. As we walked by the window, the place had a small group of about 12 people. We opened the door and got blasted by rap music so loud you couldn't talk without yelling to hear each other. We sat ourselves since no one seated us. We sat about 15 minutes, and when no server came to get our order, my GF had to go and order our drinks, and after 10 minutes, we had to go back to order our food. After 20 minutes we got our food. Both drinks and the food were decent, nothing like all the 5 and 4 star reviews rave about. Portions, as you can see from the pic's are definitely not worth what you pay for them. GF did say her Philly sandwich was really good. Music was way too loud, as I said before. Bartender served our $10 Texas toothpicks. I asked if she could turn the music down. (if you can call it music). She said yes, and after 3 songs, she finally turned it down for 2 songs and then turned it up louder than it was before I asked for it to be turned down. I tried to play something on the jukebox, but it was locked by the bartender. Gave the place 3 stars because the food was halfway decent, and the bar looked decent also. One of my favorite bars in Reno for many reasons. Great food with specials on food and drinks during happy hour or weekdays like buy one get one bottled beers. The selection of beer is great as well, on tap and by the bottle. Monday they have a special on their noodle bowls, Tuesday is tacos, tequila, and Corona, $2 each, and wing Wednesday is $5 for a pound of wings where they add two off-menu flavors. My favorites are the chicken tacos on the menu and on Tuesday's, the curry chicken tacos The wings are excellent as well(mix BBQ and habenero). And last but not least, great, personable bartenders who work really hard to provide excellent service every time that keeps me coming back for more. Only downside, I wouldn't order a nice cocktail here, stick with whiskey coke, vodka soda, etc. Altogether a great atmosphere with an array of music playing throughout the day with a jukebox(touchtunes) that allows you to pick the songs. I was here about a month ago, my first time going. The bartender Peter was rude from the get go and didn't check our IDs. My friend made a joke about it being her birthday he said I wouldn't know and I said I know you didn't ask for our IDs. He was going to give us our second round as we had this conversation and pulled them back and dumped them out in front of us. Then refused to serve us further. We are both over 21 and were not being disrespectful nor were we even close to being at a point where we shouldn't be served anymore. I had already paid and tipped for the first round. We left because he ruined the experience there and I went back in right after we left and asked for the receipt back. I crossed off the tip, put 0, and put what the original price would've been. Signed. I looked at my bank charge for it and he still charged me for the tip. Horrible service and I actually don't think that's legal. Hope he doesn't do this often, will...
