Reno Tahoe USA Visitor Center — Attraction in Reno

I went there today looking for postcards to send to a class of 2nd graders in a small town. The postcard selection was PATHETIC. About 8 different ones, and they were priced around $4 each. Ridiculous.

When I questioned the man working there, he suggested I go to CVS or a casino. I'm at the Visitors Center!! I would think you'd have a selection of halfway decent picture postcards of our beautiful area.

I did get a visitors guide and a state map to send, no charge, which I appreciated.

Just seemed odd to me to not have decent, economical post cards.

I went to the Nevada store in the Reno Town Mall and found what I needed, thankfully. $1 each and photographed by a Nevadan.

Missed opportunity Visitors Bureau....

Reno was ok . We took the train from the bay area and it was great .

The only problem was when the cab driver took the long way to the Peppermill .

We found this out on our way back to the train station and the cab fare was half what we paid to get...
