Worst service ever. Most confrontational sever ever in my life. Very rude. Was just trying to celebrate a special occasion. Will not be back. Servers like that are a good reason to not eat out ever again. Just do take out somewhere else or cook at home. Short staffed yes, but the server took it out on our table, argued, belittled us, and ruined the occasion. Response to reply: Thank you for caring. I can't say I would not have lost my mind too, if I had to be a server in that environment!! We went on a mundane weekday to avoid the crowd. After 45 minutes it got FILLED and packed up. She was the ONLY server for the whole frigging thing!! Drinks, cocktails, food, cash out, and check out. These ridiculous unrealistic expectations upon her, had her frazzled and forgetful by the halfway point of our dinner experience. Of course she is going to snap at us. Someone needs to change things. 1. Have people get drinks from bar tender or a drink server that visits tables, independent of server. 2. Separate check out, cashier process at the front. Don't put that on the servers. 3. Even then, too much expectations on server. Way too many tables for her. That's what I saw. She seemed to lose her mind when we gave her a credit card and said to put the difference on the card, for the tip. Meaning to use the other parts of the tip, and then put the remaining amount on the card, to equal the total tip we wrote. It took 45 minutes just to get our check and get out of there, and she forgot to bring extra items we ordered before dessert while still eating. Abusing your staff just makes them so stressed out that customer service is non existent and people won't return. You think it's your bottom line saving money. But the bottom line is actually customer satisfaction. Which we will never obtain from a frazzled waitress in a hostile overdemanding work environment......... I'm done eating out. It will never be the same as...
Read moreOk, I just tell it like it is... I was surprised to see some bad reviews mixed with a lot of good ones before I went to the one on South Virginia. I was thinking that, yes, sometimes you can't please everyone, and I had not been to the outback since 2 Years ago in Washington State. It was great there, and I was really looking forward to a great steak and onion rings. First off, we are new to the area, and the cab dropped us off at the bar/restaurant in front of it. We walked in, not knowing we were in the wrong place until we saw the inside and knew it wasn't their floor plan.. we proceeded to walk back to the outback and being excited for a great dinner. As soon as we walked in, I was instantly accosted by a stench I thought I would only smell at a pig farm! It was horrible. We got there at about 9:30 pm and it was very slow being close to closing. We decided to eat at a table in the bar.. we got our orders in but wasn't helped again until dinner came. The steaks were tough and dried out, i was really looking forward to the blooming onion because I know like onions so I was going to spoil myself! Well,, I asked for the special sauce and it never came. The onion was terrible too! I've never been disappointed with the outback before but this was way out of the norm for them. They really need to give that place a good wash down and include the carpets! Maybe it would help the horrible oder in there. I suppose during their busier times, everyone's cologns and perfumes make it smell much nicer in there. But at night close to closing, it's s whole...
Read moreFirst, I will start with the good: the service was good. They were busy and the server did a great job at checking in and keeping our drinks full. The fact that the runners were super helpful was awesome too! Now for the bad l: we each ordered one of their seasonal drinks (blueberry lemonade vodka thing and watermelon tequila drink) the watermelon drink was really sweet and the blueberry lemonade drink was a bit too tart. For dinner he had a filet and I had a ribeye. His filet was amazing in flavor and the way it melted in your mouth (slightly undercooked for what he ordered, med, but he was more than content to eat it). The ribeye, frankly, for the price, was absolutely not worth it... it was extremely fatty... My dogs we super happy though (no offense to the cooks, it tasted delicious there just wasn't enough lean meat... the quality of meat was not there for me) basically more than half the steak was fat, and it was over cooked for the med rare I ordered (closer to med-med well). The baked sweet potato was delicious, as was the salad and blooming onion. We also each ordered a cup of soup to go; chili for him and loaded potato. He ate his for lunch the next day and said "it wasn't that good" but didn't elaborate. I added green onions to my potato... But it was a bit bland (obviously fixable, just added to the already deflated...
