Christy's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Renton

For the first time in my entire life, I was asked to leave an establishment because of my race (or the fact that I stood up to racism). A woman next to me stated very loudly that her niece was having issues because she chose to have a baby with a "black guy and she's crazy about him". When I asked the woman why she chose to say that part so loudly, she, "Nan" decided to stand up and get in my face to say it was none of my business why she said what she said and she "didn't want to hear it". The guy that was with her turned to me and said "Oh, you're one of those". I responded that I wasn't one of anything, I was merely trying to clarify why she chose to say what she said. All the while, I remained in my seat, never raised my voice, even when "Nan" informed me that her boyfriend was black and that 5 members of her "posse" were on their way to deal with me and my friend. The manager, Sunny, decided to hand us our check. When I asked why, he said he was asking us all to leave since we can't get along. Basically because she's a regular at this spot, we were asked to leave in spite of the fact that she was the agressor and was being racist. I'm sorry, no, I can't get along with someone making racist comments, regardless what color her boyfriend or posse are, or because she's a "regular". Shame on management for condoning this behavior. Not to mention, the friend I was with is an Army Ranger, defending our freedom and shouldn't be subjected to this type...

In town for business from out of state. Found this spot with Google search Thursday steak specials caught my eye. First impressions, small town bar and grill vibe. Upon entry the spot was busy. Despite this the server made it a point to greet me from 15 feet with a welcome in. I found a seat that faced an nfl game. Only moments later I was greeted with a menus drinks came quickly followed with the dinner order. Rib eye and a side salad. Side salad came out very quick served by the sous chef to the table. Great salad dressing correct Lettie crisp tomatoes great croutons crispy with good flavor. Soon the steak and baker showed up. Ordered the steak med. I always do and it’s usually comical nobody ever seems to know what med means. This time perfect and served kitchen to table by the chef hot and rested. Baker was spot on and super hot. Normally they serve them loaded but I requested butter and sour cream on the side. Guess what just as I requested. Just starting the second cut I into the steak the server returned to make sure the steak was correct and check my water level. I noticed to my right were several tables that all filled with elderly retired couples, the floor seating was a combination of couples and such the bar was lined with clients and both pool tables had friendly games going. Basically a full house everyone was treated with care the entire time I was in the bar. What a wonderful...

I've come in a few times now. It's no wonder this place has so many regulars. Stiff drinks, quick and friendly service, and the food is delicious. The guy in the kitchen is fast and on point. This isn't just pub food... he obviously cares about what he's gonna bring out to you. The bartender (she's been there everytime I have) is super quick... working her butt off while laughing and having fun, she takes perfect care of the walk-ins just like her regulars, with ease and a smile on her face. After two visits, she knew my face and my drink and I felt at home with the regulars who fill the place. I've always found a place to sit. I've always been greeted immediately and with kindness. I've always gotten my food and drinks timely, as hoped for. I've always felt the price was fair and I always tip over 20%. I honestly have no complaints. ...
