I know that Popeyes, and nearly all fast-food places, are super short-staffed. And working for these corporations is pretty terrible and thankless. But there's really something wrong when ON THE REGULAR & EVEN WITH ONLINE ORDERING TECHNOLOGY I'm forced to wait for anywhere from 5-50 mins just to either get my food or just to the front of the drive-thru & place an order.
The wait for food here, sparing the most non-peak of hours, is atrocious. I imagine the same goes for most of the regional Popeyes locations, but this truly highlights to me that management either simply does not train their staff properly or that they, themselves, don't care. This pains me to score them so low because their food, generally, is really, really good--even for fast food. It's some of my favorite fast food out there. And even while I've been served by some incredible kind and courteous employees here, things swing completely in the other direction by others whom have gone as far as walked away from me after ordering, as in they were done with their shift halfway into me ordering--and didn't tell anyone. So I'm standing there for literally 5 mins asking for someone to take my order, when there's no one to do so. Just a dude working the back line and a drive thru person. The drive thru person eventually took my order--begrudgingly.
In short, order from here at your own risk. During the right hours, you may get your food hot, fresh, and with a smile. And during the wrong times--well, you may never see your food and unable to get a refund (thanks Popeyes app). Or at best, if you want some dinner, you sit in line for 45 mins only to be told they're sold out of something critical (like...chicken?!?). The Popeyes here in Renton, in Western WA, and in general, have frequently become some of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had the displeasure of...
Read moreThis is my second time at the renten Popeyes because I forgot about my first experience. Food is soo good and this location has plenty of chicken stacked and ready to serve. Getting the chicken from the rack into the customers hands takes 20-40mins... no kidding. This is a management / process issue. There is one person dedicated to the register who is also putting orders together, cooking fries and putting them into the vat to be put into the orders so they are literally doing one order at a time. There is another person dedicated to the drive through who is doing the exact same thing as the person dedicated to the inside register. They are both working very hard and stepping on eachother. There are 3 to 4 people wandering around in the background looking busy but not really helping customers get their orders. One guy was frying chicken but was moving at a snails pace and just watching the chicken fry. There was another person manually cleaning baking sheets at a very slow pace while talking with the guy frying chicken. The store chicken rack had at least 100 pieces of chicken ready to serve and the employees are not helping fulfill orders. This place could be cranking out orders in parallel back to back all day and night with a little management and training. It's irritating waiting 20mins for a 2 piece chicken order and watching the employees just bumble around bouncing into eachother when i could just reach out ro the chicken rack ond grab the chicken i ordered but the bigger irritation is knowing how much money this franchise looses every minute of everyday when the problem could be so...
Read moreOn Saturday May 21st. We had finished a Landscaping job in Renton, and decided to go to Popeyes near the Renton Walmart, we like going to Popeyes as one of our fastfood places to go. We went through the drive thru, placed our order, when It was our turn to pay and receive our food; which we ordered 2 ea. 2 pc. White Meat: Breast and a Wing with biscuit. What we received was a 2 ea. 2 pc. Dark Meat: Thigh and a Drum with biscuit. As we checked our order before we even left the drive thru window and told them of the mistake, the Young guy at the window asked us if we were sure that is what we ordered? It's not like it was a big order. He did take the order back and gave us the correct order that we made, which is fine, but there was a female employee laughing and joking with him after he closed the window as we were waiting for our correct order. Not, that they were laughing at us, but I would think that if you are working the drive thru that you would be a little more professional when dealing with customers and their orders. If you are wanting to laugh and joke around at least wait till the customers leave your window at drive thru, or wait till all the customers are gone. I understand that job enough as I have worked the drive thru service, and customers don't mind if you are joking around, but please be polite, courteous, and professional at your job around customers. We love the food at Popeyes and will continue to come back for more of Popeyes Great Food. As well looking for having better customer service when coming to the drive thru. Thank you for your time and have a...
