Invisible Cold Foam at Starbucks Renton Village - Disappointing Experience
If there were a competition for the thinnest cold foam in the Pacific Northwest, the Starbucks at Renton Village would undoubtedly take the prize. It was practically invisible on my drink. To illustrate, the photo on the left shows the cold foam I received with my order on May 9th. You can barely see it's there. The photo on the right shows the cold foam from an order I placed at a different Starbucks location today (and I've already taken a few sips!). When I inquired with the staff member at the Renton Village location about the lack of cold foam, the response I received was that it had sunk because I ordered my drink without ice. The female employee who answered me was very dismissive and didn't even look at me or check my drink. This explanation is fundamentally flawed, as cold foam is a light foam with a lower density than the milk and matcha, meaning it should naturally float and be VISIBLE even without ice. For context, I order a matcha latte with no ice and cold foam roughly every other day, and I have never received a drink with such a minuscule amount of cold foam. I purchased two drinks and noticed that the stars did not show up on my apps as it usually does immediately. The young lady at the counter told me if you have a problem, call Corporate. I asked the other lady serving the coffee what is the Corporate number, her reply was go look it up on the back of your Starbucks card. I used my app when I paid and she knows that. I said, I have no card, her response was you should be able to find it on your apps....What an awful customer service....Never will go to this Starbucks Grady way again!!! Too bad, I work and live near this location, but I will go to another store now or completely go to a non-Starbucks coffee place. Horrible customer service! Read moreI REALLY want to like this Starbucks. I come here frequently because it is the most convenient spot for me when I am heading into work. There are some really great baristas and then there are a couple of rude ones. I’ve had to speak to the manager a few times and have had another barista apologize for others terrible customer service. Unfortunately nothing seemed to change. I have been there and watched every single customer that had multiple items be offered bags or drink carriers and when my name is called (whenever they get it right) they expect me to carry multiple drinks and food. It is clear that they pick and choose who gets a pleasant experience here. Although I come 3-4 times a week I have never felt like a valued customer.
