I placed in August 2024 and remains unresolved. After the initial installation, I noticed that my door had split at both the top and bottom. I reached out to Home Depot immediately, only to be told that I had to contact the manufacturer, Jeld-Wen, directly because they could not assist me. This has been a horrible customer service experience—I purchased the door through Home Depot, reported the damage the next day, and yet was left to deal with the manufacturer on my own.
Additionally, when I reach out to Jeld-Wen the wrong order was initially delivered, and I was told that a corrected version would arrive by February 13, 2025.
February 24, 2025: I was informed that my order was under review for material and production capacity and would receive an order acknowledgment with a confirmed delivery date within three business days. I asked if the acknowledgment would include an installation date but received no response. February 27, 2025: I called and spoke with Amber from Jeld-Wen, who said the order was still pending and expected to arrive at the tech store by March 3, 2025. However, she could not provide an estimated installation date. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told they were unavailable, and the call was eventually disconnected. March 18, 2025: The technician attempted to install the replacement, but the measurements were incorrect once again. This is extremely frustrating, as this is a custom-made door, and the company has had the correct measurements multiple times—yet the issue persists. At this point, I don’t know what else to say. The previous technician who performed the replacement took new measurements, yet the order is still incorrect. I am deeply frustrated and concerned about when this will actually be fixed. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY AND DEFINITELY NOT...
Read moreCurrent Review: I hate that I'm having to update my review on my local Home Depot...but my experience with them today has me so pissed off that it has forced me to remove two stars from my previous review...normally the employees at Home Depot's are knowledgeable and helpful...but that is not what I experienced today...I came in for a quick few things...found them all plus a nice little bonus item, a Gerber Knife...the knife had an anti-theft tag on it so when I got to self checkout I said to the gentleman working there that I needed it removed...he originally told me that it came with the knife and when I persisted that it needed to be removed he wondered off for about 7 minutes with another employee and came back and said they can not remove it and again insisted it came with the knife...annoyed and realizing he an no one else would be of any help with this matter I finished purchasing my items, including the knife, and figured I'd be able to remove the anti-theft device on my own when I got home...unfortunately I have tried almost ever tool in my tool box and the darn thing is still not budging...what am I supposed to do...take it back to the Home Depit full of employees with no knowledge or skills...or have a knife with part of the packaging and an anti-theft device still attached to it...thanks for nothing Home Depot on Grady Way...I'll drive out of my way from now on to go to a Home Depot with competent employees.
Precious Review: This is my version of a toy store now that I'm grown...I could wander and find a million and one things to spend my money on...but even better than that...they always have what I need when I need it for a great price. I suggest getting the Home Depot App...helpful...especially with the curbside pick-up. It's nice to have one so close to...
Read moreDon’t make the mistake by going through Home Depot for flooring installations.
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the floor installation process I recently experienced through your Renton location. This has been one of the most frustrating installation projects I have ever dealt with.
To summarize the key problems:
Delivery (which I paid for): I was told the flooring would be delivered and placed in my house, but instead, it was left on a pallet in front of my home. This meant I had to move all the flooring inside myself to allow it to acclimate to the room temperature, which was not what I was promised.
Baseboards: I was told that if I purchased the more expensive pre-painted baseboards, the installation would cover all holes and I would not need to repaint. However, after the installation, there were hundreds of holes left in the baseboards that I was told I would have to repaint myself.
Measurement Error: The person who measured my home for the flooring forgot to include the square footage of the laundry room, leading to an argument with the installer about the total area.
Refund for Baseboards: I was told I would not be charged for removing my original baseboards, but I have still not received a refund for this.
Pallet Pickup: I was told Home Depot would pick up the pallet from the flooring delivery, but when I recently called, I was told I would have to dispose of it myself.
Throughout this process, it seems like no one was able to provide me with clear, consistent information, and I feel like I was not given what was promised. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I am disappointed that the level of service and quality did not meet my...
