First time there and it was recommended, so we thought to try it. My initial thought was the place could use some cleaning, it was very dusty inside. The drapes, fake plants and decor all had build up dust on it, not sure why they have drapes in a restaurant anyway. I thought well I'm here let's give it a try. Our server was super nice and friendly. I ordered the taquito plate with chicken and my husband ordered the Carne asada burrito, our food came out pretty quick, the wait was not long. My plate came with rice and beans and my rice looked old, dry and crispy, not fresh at all! I think they could take a little more time to make their food fresh, like make a fresh batch of rice same day, instead of leftover from 2 days ago. That's what it looked/ taste like. Everything on my plate tasted the same, it all had the same flavor, even my husband's burrito tasted the same as my food, as mine did to him. Not sure what seasonings they're using, but maybe try tasting it so you can taste for yourselves. It wasn't horribly bad, it just all tasted the same. We personally didn't care for the flavor. Needless to say we will not be returning, but as I said the service was good, she did a great job. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, this is just mine. Although I didn't care to much for the food doesn't mean that other's won't. All I can say is try it...
Read moreMy husband & I wanted to find a new place try out for lunch, nothing fancy just good food. We went a little out of our way, but decided to try it anyway. Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed. On a positive note, the service was very good & helpful. The chips & salsa were good. My husband ordered 2 chicken enchiladas with rice & beans & a shredded beef taco on the side. He said everything was good, but would've preferred a soft tortilla for the taco. I on the other hand had 2 carnitas tacos & 1 shredded beef taco. I like the beef taco, & the hard shell was good to me. However, the carnitas were waaaaay to salty. I ate all of the first one because I was hungry, but couldn't even get half way through the second one because of the saltiness. I must say one of the main reasons I wanted to go there was for the fried ice cream. That honestly was the best part. The cashier made up for my disappointment for the carnitas tacos because when she asked how everything was & I mentioned the saltiness of the carnitas & she took them off the bill right away. I truly wasn't expecting that, but I was very appreciative that she did. I may not come back for the carnitas, but I definitely would for the fried ice cream & the good...

We have been coming to Taco Joeâs Mexican Food for well over 50 years, and it has always been a wonderful experienceâbut today was truly something special. We were celebrating my husbandâs birthday, and from start to finish, everything was above and beyond.
The Queen Size Deluxe Burritoâa longtime favoriteânever disappoints. Itâs always packed with flavor, generous in size, and cooked to perfection. But today I noticed something new on the menu: quesabirria tacos. Wow! If you are a fan of birria, you must try them. These tacos are out-of-this-world deliciousâcrispy, cheesy, and filled with juicy, flavorful meat. Theyâre a new favorite for sure!
Cuca, the owner, is absolutely fabulous. Sheâs always there with a warm smile and goes out of her way to make sure everyone leaves happy and full. Her pride in the restaurant shows in every dish and detail.
Mary, our server today, was phenomenal. Attentive, kind, and truly went the extra mile to make our celebration special.
Taco Joeâs isnât just a restaurantâitâs a family tradition, a place full of heart, and a shining example of what great food and genuine hospitality look like. I canât recommend it...
