Terrible sanitary practices. Just got home with my Cava order after stopping in for a bowl after work. There was a couple (woman and man) ordering directly in front of me who continuously leaned over both panels of protective glass with their faces and arms to speak and point out top the servers at each station what they wanted in their bowls. At each station I alerted the servers of my displeasure with them not addressing the couple and allowing them continuing to risk contaminating the food that others had to order from. At each station I was ignored as the couple continued to reach around and speak over the protective though I was clearly loud enough for both the servers and the couple to hear. Eventually I addressed the male directly asking him if he thought recognized that the protective glass was there to prevent him from being an asshole and putting other people at risk. He was obviously offended and though he turned and wanted to address me for whatever reason he chose to stare for a moment before turning around and being allowing to continue the behavior. Not one employee from the first server to the cashier was willing to address the couple. When I arrived home I prepared to eat what had ordered but found a hair in my food and will be canceling this order with my credit card company. The serving staff at this location should be trained better and I would like to hear from someone in management though I wil not likely be returning to this location. Upholding sanitary practices should be a priority at any food establishment. AND they were out of spledigreens and did not...
Read moreI recently visited Cava on 05/03/2024 for what I hoped would be a delightful dining experience. However, what I encountered was far from pleasant, primarily due to the incredibly rude behavior of one of their employees.
Upon entering the establishment, I was met with indifference by the employee making the bowls and pita wraps. Nevertheless, I proceeded to place my order, attempting to maintain a positive attitude. The employee I encountered seemed not only disinterested but outright hostile.
Her tone was curt, her responses clipped, and she appeared to have an attitude. It was as if my very presence was an inconvenience to her. This lack of basic courtesy and professionalism left me feeling disrespected and unwelcomed. There was even an instance in which she simply stared at me and didn't say anything during our conversation.
While placing my order I requested romaine lettuce, black lentils, white rice, harissa, chicken, corn, and avocado. She communicated that it would be extra with grains and I stated that this was fine. However, when I arrived at the register, I was surprised by the pricing. The total was $16.45. I had gone to another CAVA in Dallas, TX the previous day and gotten the same exact bowl with a drink and a brownie and I paid $10.28. When I inquired about the pricing, it was repeated to me that grains were extra. I understood this, but what I could not understand is how I got the same exact bowl with a brownie and a drink at a Dallas, TX location and it was far less than this location.
I decided that I will not be visiting this...
Read moreReally yummy and healthy quick eat. We enjoyed everything about CAVA. The friendly staff, variety of choices of spreads, base, proteins, toppings, sauces etc, ambiance, cleanliness....everything. I liked that kid's plate comes with a lid, which made it very convenient to take left overs home, instead of looking for a to-go box. We ordered one Pita wrap, one bowl, and two kids plates. I really liked how they prepared Pita wrap very systematically instead of just dumping things in pita. They started with three spreads and spreaded it evenlly on entire pita. Next they placed the greens in the middle, carbs on one side and protein on other and then toppings and sauces all over. What this did was, when they closed it, every single bite had a little bit of everything. Each bite filled with flavors, jucyness, freahness, crispness...making your mouth and senses completely satisfied. I hope this is not just the art of the person who made my pita but actually the fact that the staff has been trained to make it just perfect. Highly recommend this place. My husband is gluten free vegan and very sensitive to cross contamination. He felt very clean after our lunch here and that tells me that the food is eaqually clean behind the walls too, not just in...
