This location's sanitary practices are horrendous.
First: There was a young woman (who was working both the front cashier area AND serving food), who would use her hands to touch the food of those being serviced. For example: someone ordered a salad, and this young woman used her hands to look at the leaves of the salad, and then proceeded to place the leaves back down on the plate, as if she was looking to see if the salad was edible or not. Please keep in mind that she was handling money, food, plates, etc. and never once washed her hands or wore gloves.
She then did this AGAIN, with fruit. For example: my table ordered an omelet with a side of fruit. This young woman proceeds to pick up the grapes (with her bare hands), brush them off, then proceeds to place them back in the bowl, as our waitress then proceeds to try and serve us this food. I calmly told our waitress to take the food back because I saw the young woman use her bare dirty hands to touch our food. The waitress then ADMITTED that the young woman in fact touched our food with her bare hands.
Second: I asked a waitress to bring over the manager so I could advise what was going on and to remove the young woman from the kitchen (he was a Caucasian male by the name of Steven or Stephen). I proceeded to tell him what I was witnessing, and he seemingly didn't seem bothered by the unsanitary actions that were taking place.
At that point, I asked to speak to the GM (Black older male), who was completely appalled about not only the service, but the reaction of the manager... Unfortunately I had to report this location the Health Dept. for a citation. I can't imagine what would have happened if I wasn't seated facing the kitchen, or what other unsanitary acts are taking place at...
Read moreI came here on a Saturday the food was good the service was great, I understand that they're super busy we waited a while to get our food but it was really good still all around. I decided to come back the very next day with my children and four family members. I wanted to show off this place I found... Unfortunately, they literally treated us like the scum of the Earth, starting with the hostess with the glasses. They weren't even as busy as the day before. We checked in an online with a 20 minute wait which we called and told them we had seven people instead of six the limit, and if that was okay and if the wait would still be the same, she said yes just put six online. We get there and she adds another 30 minutes. We saw 2 large empty tables the entire time. Kids were starving, otherwise we would have left but we thought maybe it's just going to be another 5 minutes. You could tell they were just being petty. The waitress Hanna messed up our orders and when we asked if we could have the missing parts of our order they gave excuses and ignored our table but served everyone else around us. They served us on dirty dishes, coffee cups had dried tomato seeds stuck to them 🤢. I feel like they were doing everything on purpose because we had kids with us. We never once complained. We just asked for our missing orders, that's...
Read moreWent with family as they enjoy this spot and wanted me to come with them. First off, the service was great. Friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere was typically for a diner. Nothing special, but it was nice and spacious.
Now on to the food. I so wanted to like the food. I ordered bacon crispy and eggs sunny side up and dry toast. Food came out promptly and looked good. This is where it didn't go so well.
My toast was drenched in butter. Waitress quickly saw it and ordered a replacement. Good sign! However, my eggs were cooked hard. Nice yellow color, but the yolk was entirely hard. I didn't bother sending them back. My potatoes were a mixed bag of some really crispy (which I like) to almost raw and hard (which I don't). The potatoes were extremely salty. The bacon was nice and crispy, but was extremely salty as well.
I tried the house jelly with my toast (which was barely toasted - probably because they had to get out quickly) and it was way over sweet. Like extremely sweet.
In the end, I left most of my potatoes, all of my jelly and shared my bacon (my wife loves salt so it was ok for her). I ate my eggs but only because I wanted to eat something and not send it back.
Maybe this was an anomaly or maybe the cuisine isn't compatible with my taste buds.
Either way, I didn't think I'll return, but my family...
