I came here Sunday night around 8pm with my boyfriend. We had been here twice before and had been so blown away by the amazing food, we recommended the place to everyone we knew. On this visit, however, we were treated so poorly by our server and the manager, it was impossible to enjoy our food. We ordered two appetizers and two pizzas. Our pizzas came out in ten minutes but sat on the counter in the kitchen, in plain view, for another ten minutes. Three people including our servers watched the pizzas and walked past them multiple times. Finally the server brings the pizzas to us and starts to walk off- I stop her to let her know we're still waiting for our appetizers. She says "oh okay I'll go check on them" and leaves. I pick up a pizza slice and find that it's room temperature at best and my boyfriend's pizza is just as cold. A few minutes later our server returns with our appetizers and we let her know our pizzas are cold and could she get us a couple boxes to take them home. She stutters and says something like "oh okay" and leaves. We eat the appetizers and watch her talk to a manager about the pizzas. We overhear him call out for two new pizzas to be made for us, not that he comes to let us know that's what he's doing. Our server does not come back to talk to us again for the rest of our time there. The manager brings us our new pizzas and two boxes for the original pizzas. When he hands me my pizza he tells me "the arugula goes on the pizza cold, okay?" It felt like he was thinking our original pizzas hadn't actually been cold, just my toppings were. He didn't seem interested in hearing what we had seen happen with our food, nor did he ever apologize for the long wait times. I also asked him for a water before he left us and he nodded "okay" and walked off. Not two minutes later we see him on the far side of the kitchen tossing dough and making food, never bringing me my water or checking on us again. Such appalling customer service as this means we will not be returning to spin pizza...
Read moreThe food is good. The hummus was AMAZING. But, man your servers need better training! Training is definitely the issue, there is no way that all four of the people we interacted with could be that bad at their jobs! It started when placing our order for a family of four. Half-way through the order the cashier says, "That'll be $....." Excuse me, I wasn't done ordering! Next, the table was dirty and my chair had food in it. (I flicked the pizza crust off my chair.) Only half the restaurant was occupied, so they weren't super-busy. Next came the drinks, "Did you order ......?" Hmmm, I thought, "Yes, how do you not know that?" Since, we are the only party with four people who just came into the restaurant. (This point might be a little picky.) Next, the waitress slammed or dropped the cups. What?? Really?? Next, we got our food and literally within five and in the middle of a bite, the waitress says, "Do you need a to go box?" I thought, "Huh? We just started eating less than five minutes ago. Are you asking us to leave?" So, when we were done eating, I asked for a box. She went away and started washing down tables, instead. :) Girl, you should not be a waitress, you are nice but definitely a bad hire. Maybe she's a great something else, but definitely not a waitress! I blame this bad experience on the manager and his lack of training for his staff. I will not be back. I'll spend my $50...
Read moreGave this place a shot because it's not too far from where I live. I was born and raised in italy where I spent more than 30 years of my life. I am always looking for places that offer authentic Italian food. I have to be honest I have not found many. Partly it's because tastes of locals differ a lot from the tastes of Italians. I know for a fact that most locals would find real Italian cousine pretty flavorless. That said I will move to the pizza. When I first go somewhere where authentic Italian (napoletana) pizza is advertised I generally try the margherita (marinara at times) first. If they can't get that right, nothing else can possibly work. The dough was not leavened properly. The napoletana should be chubby on the sides and soft overall. The tomato sauce was filled with pieces of GARLIC (c'mon) and frozen cherry tomatoes were all over the pizza (this is not a primavera gentlemen, you only use cherry tomatoes on white pizzas). The cheese was unidentified, but it should be fresh mozzarella. The price point is where Testa or Cane Rosso are positioned except they offer almost authentic food. If you want a better price/quality ratio try Firecrust instead. If you want real pizza don't go there, might as well go to any American franchise (Pizza Hut,...
