Imagine if I walked into McDonald's, opened the register, and walked out with $1. They would call the police. That isn't acceptable behavior, even if it is only $1.
Now imagine I pay $1 extra to have Mac sauce added to my burgers but they don't add it. Sure, it could be argued that one is a mistake and one is on purpose, but given the amount that they "forget" things, it is still theft. Once in awhile is a mistake. Failing to correct a systemic issue, that IS THEFT. They are taking people's money knowing that they will make a SIGNIFICANT amount on leaving food out of the bag. (The math here is my speculation, and shouldn't be taken as anything but). Imagine they do 300 cars a day and average shorting each car $1. (It's going to average. Forgetting a big Mac is $6, so they only need to forget 1 in 6, which is probably a bit generous on my part). That is $300 dollars per day they have stolen. $2100 dollars a week. ~$9000 per month. $108,000 per year. And it's not like they ever err on the side of the customer. Nobody ever gets an EXTRA cheeseburger. You have a business stealing over 100 grand from the community over the course of the year. I'm not sure how this is acceptable. There needs to be accountability. Maybe I am getting too worked up over it, but I don't think so. Its not too much to ask to get your food right. Again, it's because they get it wrong SO often that is the issue. And if it's happening to me on virtually every visit, it's gotta be happing to others too. Once in awhile, fine. 1 out of 3 visits, not acceptable.
The following review was written by me SEVEN years ago, and is unedited:
Got a big breakfast with hotcakes. They forgot the hash browns and syrup in the bag. Didn't notice until I got home. Pancakes are inedible without syrup so they basically only gave me half of my food. Go to a different McDonald's or make for darn sure you check your bag for everything. The employees here, while pleasant enough, are only good at half their job(taking your money) they can't figure out how to give you all their food. 2 stars because at least they were nice to me while screwing me out of...
Read moreToday I went through the drive through and ordered 2 McDoubles, a medium fry, large fry and large sprite. It came to a little over $11.00. While I was waiting I saw the special they were running for a McDouble and small fry for $3.00 so I asked the drive through guy could I change it. He said yes , read me back my order and said it would now only be a little over $8.00. I was happy about this and remember saying to him how I was glad I saw their special sign. I get to the window and the young man hands me my food but it only had 2 McDoubles, 1 Large fry and a Large sprite. I said to the young man no I ordered the special and it comes with a small fry. He called for a manager and the manager began to say things like “Did the drive through guy repeat the order back to you” I said yes because we talked about how much less it was going to be. He started saying well I will give you 1 free fry and you have to pay for the other one. I said Sir I didn’t mess up my order and I have paid for my food which comes with 2 fries. He then had the gall to say to me “Why are you being like this, because you’re cheap. I then asked him what was his name and his managers name. I also asked the young standing next to him if he heard what the manager just said to me and he said yes. I thanked him and drove off. I have decided just not spend my money at this McDonald’s anymore and I know it won’t make a dent in their revenue but if I’m going to be treated disrespectfully, you don’t deserve my hard...
Read moreNot lovin' it. This location is a shell of what it used to be. I used to visit for breakfast when I lived in the neighborhood 10 years ago. There was always plenty of seating and the crew were fast and friendly. Now, like all the other "made-over" McD's, this one is empty, sterile and has minimal seating. Evidently they got tired of regulars from the senior housing hanging out there. It wasn't clean, though. Garbages were overflowing, the soda fountain tray rack was covered with sticky goo. The ketchup was out. I placed my order using the annoying electronic menu since nobody was at the counter to take my order. The attention was all on drive-thru. No McRib, either (the only reason I stopped in), they were still on the menu but "out of stock." Not surprising. So I ordered a burger instead. Almost 15 minutes later I got my food, the crew member handed me the bag and walked away. I had to flag down another to get my drink cup. I took one look at the garbage they served me (squashed, sloppy Quarter Pounder, cold fries), left it on the table, and went across the street to MyBurger. They had a friendly person waiting at the till to take my order. I had my burger in 7 minutes--it was perfect and the fries were hot. I feel bad for the overworked and underpaid McD's staff, but they didn't even apologize for the wait or say thanks. I would give zero...
