came by late night and the manager on duty lacked customer service skills. Since the inside of the restaurant was closed, I had to use the drive through. I didn't have a car, so I asked my friends to drive around and order food for me. I said I would wait in the drive through for them to order, and he said "no you won't". I said okay and backed up to the side walk and said I'll wait here on the sidewalk. I understand not wanting to be standing in the middle of the drive thru, but when I got to the sidewalk He said "You can't wait there." I was in disbelief, since I wasn't anywhere near the window. I honestly didn't know what to do, so I ran and got into my friends car (there was already 5 people in the car), got my food and immediately got out of the car. I understand not being able to order food from a drive thru window, but there was no one at that Mcdonalds except for my friends in their car, and to not allow me to wait on the sidewalk (about 15-20 feet from the window) while my friends drive around and order me food is insane. He said he was following the rules, but I'm pretty sure he made those rules up. If you can find in the rule book where it says you can't serve my friends in their car, while I wait on the sidewalk opposite of the drive thru window (again, about 15 feet away), I will change this review to 5 stars. I will mention that I did not try to order from the drive thru window. I asked my friends who were already getting food at the drive through window to go around and order for me while I waited since I already knew I couldn't order from the drive...
Read moreI must disclose, Adams Enterprises, which own all the McDonald's in Richland, was my employer from 1977 to 1979, from when I was 16 to 18. This company has a special place in my heart when I worked at their now closed Torbett Street location.
As I was born xxy with Klinefelter's Syndrome, after two weeks of work, I was going to be let go because I wasn't fast enough as a cook. However, Randy Clark, my manager, as an afterthought, let me do dining room table service instead of firing me.
From the experience, I found pouring coffee and cleaning tables, for two years, taught me a lifetime of the most important lessons. I learned how to deliver personal service that transcended all my life's work to date.
That said, this George Washington Way McDonald's is always clean. The McDonald's Team at this location is always friendly and they still, actually, deliver personal service.
Using the McDonald's app, you can't order a pop straw with coffee. However, when The Team see an order for decaf with 3 creams and 15 sugars, they often remember to bring a yellow, red, and white pop straw for me.
At 60, I'm grateful that Adams Enterprises has never faultered their standards of excellence. This is an...

When she found time to come to the register, She was not pleasant. I had the order cancelled and left. The volume of customers makes McDonalds profitable
Extreme increases in cost make McDonalds too expensive for many. My mom is in the hospital down the street so I compromised better judgement and came here for the 'McDonalds Chicken Sandwich " she desires.
Now I am driving across the city to another McDonalds for her. She is near death and wants a chicken sandwich from McDonald's.
I will get it and I want the world to know the food is top quality the service is not. Let alone the price...
