Admittedly I've ordered take-out wings from this location about a dozen times over the last year. Each time was acceptable but nothing worth leaving a review about. It's pub grub and service had been fine. UNTIL YESTERDAY (5/2/2021) that is. ā¢11:42AM I placed an online order through their site (which possibly redirected to a third party order system that they use.) for 30 Wings to be ready at 1:45PM. ā¢We arrive at 1:45PM to pick up our order and my father-in-law stepped inside to grab the wings. He waited at the bar for roughly ten minutes before the bartender found time to even speak to him. Now mind you, there was 3 other patrons inside so they're FAR from being "in the weeds." The bartender claims they have no orders under our name. After reassuring her that we had placed it online she checked multiple screens then proceeds to tell us that the kitchen is backed up and they need another 10-15 minutes. If I only had two brain cells, I could at least rub them together and know that they hadn't seen the order and they were just putting them in the fryer. Annoyed: Yes. But the silver lining was that they'd be fresh?? ā¢We ran an errand at the Food Lion up the road and came back after a 20 minute gap. Plenty of time to have fried 30 wings. Or so I would've thought... ā¢At 2:25PM the bartender came and threw (roughly dropped on the bar) a pizza at the patron next to us and in similar fashion "gave us our wings." No apology. No sense of urgency. In fact, she said nothing at all. Just the face of annoyance and disgust that she had to be bothered to complete our order.
I TRULY DOUBT I'LL EVER RETURN DUE TO THE MISERABLE SERVICE. The bartender could've been having a bad day. I understand that. The kitchen could've been short staffed. That also happens. But when those things occur and apology would go A LOOOONG WAY to keeping patrons happy. I'll happily get my wings elsewhere. The only saving grace was that we got a good laugh from the guy next to us receiving his pizza while he was on the phone. "Well, let me go and I'll talk to you later. My 3 hour pizza just arrived and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time I had been here. The waitress never told us her name, hovered over one side of the table, but wouldn't acknowledge me except for the actual order. She had no problem speaking to my husband and my female friend that was with us, sat our order down infront of them, but did not place my plate near me. Even after I requested the ticket, she laid it infront of my friend on the other side of the table. I reached over everyone to grab it to pay. I opted for my receipt to be printed, she never brought it to me, I had to find her and ask her for it, where she proceeded to tell me it was on the table, I said, no ma'am, that's the ticket, not the receipt. She wasn't happy about the fact I was tipping with cash, which is exactly why I wanted proof of my receipt. I've never had an issue like this anywhere I have went. She was flat out disrespectful to me. I guess the judgementalness of her personality ruined it. My husband and friend were the first ones to point out what she was doing and told me not to tip her at all. I never leave a tip less than $20, even when I only spend $15, I always tip $20, I've worked as a waitress, most rely solely on tips, but I'm sad to say I only left her $10 on a $60 ticket due to her disrespectful attitude. The baseboards were disgusting, covered in grease, that should have been the first red flag to just leave instead of ordering, but you can't always go off of what you see. I ordered the Philly, wasn't bad, till I found a piece of bone about the size of a quarter in it. š¤¦āāļø my husband had nachos, and my friend had a philly as well that she couldn't even eat one she got it. The jumbo pretzel appetizer was really the best thing about the entire trip. Def will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile traveling to Florida with my daughter, we stopped for the night at a nearby hotel. Feeling a bit hungry, we decided to grab something quick before calling it a night. Weāre both big wing lovers, so we figured weād give this place a shot.
When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was the ambiance, which Iād generously rate a 2 out of 10. The staff seemed more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. I had to interrupt a pair of waitresses mid conversation just to ask for my order.
Back at the hotel, we opened the food, and the disappointment was immediate (see picture below). The wings werenāt just unappealing, they were drenched in oil rather than coated in any real hot sauce. Thankfully, my daughter had asked for a pretzel, which spared her from going to bed hungry.
I tried a few wings, hoping the taste might redeem their appearance. Unfortunately, I was wrong, they were even worse than they looked. Within minutes, I had an immediate reaction and ended up in the bathroom.
This was, without question, one of the most disappointing food experiences...
