Nice location on Cary. VERY simple and limited menu. I ordered 5 of their 7 options..pan fried chicken dumplings, veggie bao buns, chicken noodle soup, the cold sesame noodles, and the sweet and spicy cold noodles. 1st the dumplings. Good, but not great. Small and almost a little over done, but good flavor. The dipping sauce was money. The bao buns were good. The chicken noodle soup was great, and obviously scratch made, BUT it would've been amazing had it been HOT and not warm. The cold sesame noodles were a little disappointing..I was thinking more of a sesame "paste" noodle like you'd see in traditional Chinatown settings. Instead, it was a thin sauce with a little sesame flavor. Fresh sesame seeds as a garnish would've helped. The surprise was the sweet and spicy noodles. The sauce was tasty and I didn't mind the noodles being cold even more so because of it. Overall, a good, simple noodle place with tons...
Read moreThis place is fantastic! Everything on the menu is delicious and comes out steaming hot (except for the cold noodles which are delightfully cold). The steamed buns are the perfect texture and the vegetable bun is so full of flavor you don’t even miss the meat! The pan fried dumplings are both delicious and the sauce that they come in is addicting. Of the cold noodles, the sweet and spicy noodle is my favorite. The sesame noodles are a bit too one-dimensional for my preference, but still tasty! The shrimp pad thai is amazing and comes with a lot of food. I can’t believe the prices at this place for the quality of the product! So happy this is just a walk away from me - will be back...
Read moreI love this place! The pork fried dumplings are my favorite. The people are always friendly, the restaurant is clean and cozy, and the food is reliably hot and fresh. The menu might be small, but that's because the items they serve are delicious enough to make a business out of on their own. It's also among the more affordable lunch options in the area considering an order of dumplings is just $6.50.
I used to buy their dumplings and pork buns all the time when they sold them out of their cart by VCU, and they continue to be as good as they were then. I'm delighted that they were able to open a physical store after the pandemic. I hope this place...
