Sang Jun Thai Richmond — Restaurant in Richmond

Ate at this restaurant this evening with my wife and another couple. We were told that most of the appetizers and all of the draft beers were unavailable. Finally found two appetizers (spring rolls and fried dumplings} that were available and ordered them along with a bottle of wine. Asked the waitress for water.

Waitress came back with the wine - left it on the table unopened - we had to open it - no water glasses. Came back with the appetizers - still no water glasses - no appetizer plates. Finally got appetizer plates and water glasses, and were told that one of the entrees we had ordered was unavailable.

The spring rolls and dumplings were obviously straight out of the freezer into the deep fryer. The entrees were pretty good - the ginger beef was a standout. Our waitress seemed pretty clueless and checked out.

Don't know what the deal with this place is, but there are enough better Thai restaurants in Richmond (Thai Diner, Elephant Thai, Mom's Siam) that I won't...

Ordered curry and none of it came with rice so I had to make rice for my whole family and wait to eat. I don't know what kind of restaurant serves such expensive curry without rice. Will never order from here again. Very disappointed and hungry as I'm currently making rice. No one eats curry without rice, that's just soup. Please improve your service and I don't recommend this place to anyone

Edit: This review was written by my very hangry daughter, who had been travelling in from Maine and hadn't eaten all day. She was frustrated when she could not reach the restaurant and our order had come incomplete.

The food was actually really very good (even though the rice we made was not quite up to par). And the next day I got a call from the restaurant apologizing and offering to make things right. This shows a willingness to take responsibility for mistakes and a desire to keep...

Absolutely horrible! The delivery driver refused to deliver my order to my door and requested that I walk to his car to get my order. When I refused he said he would come back after delivering all of his other orders. After calling the restuarant to complain, he banged on my door, shoved my order at me, and walked away complaining about how busy he was. I called the restuarant again to let them know how shitty their driver was and asked for a refund-- the lady then said that we would have to return the food!
