We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Chez Nous! My wife, a friend, and I stopped in for an afternoon lunch and wine outing, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. As lovers of French food and culture, we were thrilled to find a place that so beautifully captures the spirit of France right here in Richmond.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff, Sarah and owner Melissa, made us feel genuinely appreciated and completely unrushed. Their hospitality was heartfelt and made the experience even more special.

We ordered every food item on the menu, and everything was exceptional! The escargot, in particular, stood out as a highlight, and the wine selections were equally fantastic.

Incredible experience, highly recommend! From the minute you step into Chez Nous you are transported to a provincial French market, with their market baskets, lavender products, kitchen goods and interesting wine selection. I purchased their lemon infused Olive Oil from Nice; it is DIVINE !! The ambiance is intimate, charming, and service is warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. I loved the wine flight selection and was delighted to find it included a delicious red from a Sardinian winery I had visited. Pours are generous and their charcuterie is to die for…I could live on their truffle salami and wild boar prosciutto! The intimate space is perfect to host a private event, which I have booked, owner is gracious and wonderful to work with. Parking is easy with a large lot on the corner. Oh my gosh…Chez Nous was INCREDIBLE! I was excited to take my parents here after seeing positive google reviews, and I was still blown away by how remarkable it was. The atmosphere and aesthetic are beautiful (the menu being handwritten was a particularly cool touch), and the service was warm and attentive. We tried 2 different wines (a white and a red, both gorgeous) and a really lovely French beer recommended by our server, along with a beautifully prepared charcuterie board, pan con tomate, a lovely summery shrimp and chickpea salad, and an olive oil cake for dessert. Chez Nous is gourmet but unpretentious, exciting and welcoming, and altogether worth experiencing if you are in (or anywhere near) Richmond, VA. I can’t wait...
