Bartender Nick is truly a gem among Richmond and bartenders in the DMV

I’ve worked in the dmv all around as a bartender, barista, and now a professional photographer and I couldn’t be more happy with how my night went at Session thanks to Nick. Not only is his drinks phenomenal but his awareness at the bar is perfect. The right level of service, hospitality, and playful banter.

I dearly hope life continues to bless him and wherever he works. 100% I would drive from dc to Richmond...

really basic and they hardly have any bottles/spirits here to make anything else. Our bartender said they batch everything, which is so very tacky! No one should be batching, especially not at a “cocktail” bar! We tried a couple of things, the negroni was way to strong and their old fashioned was too.

Overall, definitely would skip this joint. It’s part of the Rappahannock Oyster Restaurant chain, which there’s a location next door… go...
