To give some context, my wife and I love bareburger, we don’t often go to this location, but we love bareburger’s shakes and burgers. Yesterday, however, we had an awful experience. We ordered our usual chocolate shakes, and I don’t know if they changed the recipe or whatever it was, but it’s nothing like the shakes we used to have. They literally just tasted like chocolate milk, it was not creamy as it usually is, and the taste was off. We were disappointed but decided to just go with it. We then ordered our burgers. We always choose to make our own burgers and pretty much always order the same thing. To be fair, my wife’s burger was fine and she enjoyed it. I ordered mine and asked it to be cooked medium rare. After a long wait, seriously it took around 20 minutes to get them and the place was almost empty (I don’t really mind the wait, this part was fine with me), we got our burgers, I ate a piece of bacon that came with my burger and once I bit into it, it was way overcooked. Meanwhile our waitress had disappeared, maybe her shift ended? But no one let us know of anything. A guy who appeared to be a manager happened to walk by and noticed I wasn’t very thrilled, so he asked us if everything was okay. I explained my burger was overcooked and if they could make another one. That’s when things got ugly, he was clearly upset and took it back to the kitchen without saying a word. We could hear him yelling to the kitchen staff to “just cook another patty and throw it in there”. From this point one everyone just decided to treat us badly, like they were doing a big favor for preparing our WAY OVERPRICED food to order. When they brought me my burger, the bacon was the one they took from the overcooked burger. I mean come on, seriously? Needless to say, we won’t be coming to this location anymore, they definitely need to learn a thing or two about...
Read moreI have always loved Bareburger. I used to visit the ones in NYC and in White Plains and always thought there food was amazing.. This review is more about something I witnessed though and the food was secondary to this. My husband and I had dinner here last night. While we were sitting in our booth near the bathrooms waiting for our orders, we witnessed a kitchen employee make her way from the kitchen into the bathroom WITH her kitchen gloves still on. She opened the bathroom door (with gloves), proceeded to do her thing in there (also, there was no soap in this bathroom) and came out with the same gloves on and went right back into the kitchen to work again. We were so grossed out and disgusted by this. WHY on earth wouldn't she take her gloves off to use the restroom and replace them with new ones when returning to the kitchen to work with food?? I asked to speak to a manager about this. A young woman came to our table, was very polite, listened and apologized, but immediately went behind the bar to continue making drinks instead of confronting this employee who was working with peoples food. I would think this should have been a serious enough issue to confront her immediately! I'm so bummed since I have always been a fan of Bareburger but am not sure I will visit this location again.
Food: I asked for a turkey burger, which I usually get here and was brought out a "sandwich" with sliced turkey instead of a "turkey patty." when i asked they said they don't have turkey burgers, just...
Read moreThe fact that they have an option to tip for online orders is absolutely ridiculous. I opt out for adding "cutlery, napkins, etc" to my bag so all the worker has to do is place my food (and sauces) in my bag - food that the chefs cooked, so why am I tipping the worker 20% of my already pricey food for simply putting it in a bag? The last two times I decided not to go with the pre-selected 20% option and instead chose a custom tip of $4 and $3 (which is still generous for putting food you didn't make in a bag). What do you know, both times I walk in to pick up my order within the same month, I get rude/rushed service from the person in the front with my order missing items I paid for. Last night was my final straw, I come into the empty restaurant at 8:30 (and clearly not busy) to a Joselin M. at the front (I'm guessing her because that name was on my receipt) and get a condescending tone from her despite me giving a friendly greeting to her. I leave and find out when I get home that I only had the two burgers in the bag and not the 4 sauces I ordered (and paid for). Now two consecutive times I leave a custom tip that apparently the workers do not agree with and I get bad service because of it even though the prices are already higher than average to begin with. I don't care if their burgers are decent, this place can F off for their lack service and accuracy and I'll make sure everyone who brings this place up to me...
