Terrible service due to the owner/manager. An older man who I assumed to be the manager of the facility was extremely rude to my boyfriend and I who were trying to study and do work. When we arrived, most of the seating was already occupied so we moved two smaller tables together. We had brought iced teas from a previous location along the avenue, but bought over $25 worth of extras from this facility. We were sitting, eating and doing work for about 2 hours and the older gentleman approached us and told us we had to separate the tables. He began to scold us because the tables were antiques. I was taken back by how rude he was therefore I didn’t say anything and let him move the tables back to their original positions. I apologized because I was unaware. I continued to do my work and was in the middle of writing something when he came back over a minute later and without saying a word he moved my table even further away from my boyfriend’s. I was completely taken back for the second time, but did not want to say anything again because I was just trying to study. Another 25 minutes goes by and he notices our iced teas. He comes back over and tells us, “You need to throw those out now. You can not have outside beverages here.” At this point I have had it with the poor and rude management. I begin to tell him that he should not be so rude to customers and that he could have asked these things nicely. He continued to argue me from across the café. I would have gladly moved the tables back and thrown out my other drinks if he had just approached us kindly. I was absolutely shocked at how he speaks to customers and will not be returning. There are many similar reviews like mine all over...
Read moreMe and my friends decided to get bagels from a nearby shop and wanted to find tables to sit at. We found some in front of this coffee shop and decided to sit there. There are no signs saying it was for the business or anything so we thought it was public seating. We were almost done our food and the owner came out and told us we couldn’t sit there, and we said “ok” and packed up and got up to go. Then she came back over to us and said “I can’t believe you would get food from another business and sit in front of mine that is so disrespectful” me and my friends stayed silent because we were minding our business and packing up. She kept going on and on about how rude we are and sat outside until we left. As someone who isn’t from around here let alone the state it was a really bad impression on the business. My friend who is from town said she’ll never go back because she was so rude to us. Be better to a...
Read moreMy office is in downtown Ridgewood so I have tried all the coffee shops and this one is the best. To start, the coffee is amazing and for my taste is the perfect amount of caffeine. Doesn't leave me jittery like Starbucks.
The owners are dog lovers and it's super convenient for me that I can bring my dog Walter and everyone loves him. I'm extremely grateful they even gave me a great recommendation for changing his diet that has drastically improved his health.
Audrey and Natalya work the weekends and they are the absolute best baristas. They are not only courteous, but also they engage in real conversations. The complete opposite vibe of some commercial chains I've been where it almost feels they just want to give you the order and get you out. Great service, great coffee, this place is the highlight of...
