First off this used to be our favorite and I loved the burger here but the experience I received yesterday Sept.10th will be one I wonât forget. It started as we walked in the door and were seated at the table by the front door on bar side. There was a table by they front bay window by the bar who had a couple people sitting at it and a server talking to them. They all whispered and starred in our direction. Not surprised because I had a Trump face mask on. And you may wonder why that matters well keep reading. I just figured they were patrons. Well our waitress came by Niccole and she was sweet and took our drink order. I had noticed that the people in the corner were being joined by more servers and whispering and staring at our table. At that point it was becoming uncomfortable. Niccole took our order and our first appetizer came out but not our second. Which our girls were looking forward to. So we thought that they would be next but then after 15 minutes and not seeing our waitress till our actual food came out we got to ask about the cheese sticks we never received. She said she had forgotten to put that in and asked if we still wanted them and we said yes, so we got those after our meal came and no analogy for that. Now hereâs where it gets more interesting. My husbands, and daughters food were warm and had an actual portion of waffle fries on the plate but as for mine, my burger was cold and I had a couple of waffle fries with mostly crumbs. Now normally I would have told the server but since I was being stared at by the front table, who all by this time were servers sitting at it and talking, and seeing that only my plate had the issue I was not going to complain cause I didnât know what they would do to it considering how they were all acting because of my trump mask. After we received our cheese sticks we never saw our waitress again until we were completely done. The host did take some plates out of the way but as I said thank you multiple times he never responded. I did eat the burger because I wasnât going to let food we are paying for go to waste. We just know that we are never going to go back to an establishment that has employees that treat someone bad because of beliefs/opinions. As we walked out not even a âthank you for comingâ nothing! But they had been kind to everyone else that came and left saying that but not to us. Hmmmm..... And that was the worst burger I had ever had from there. And almost no green chili on it. To top it all off last night I got severely sick to my stomach with the BGâs and wonât go into detail of the rest but you can imagine. To me thatâs not a coincidence since the rest of my family was fine and I got the only cold plate. Itâs unfortunate since this was a favorite. After not being in a restaurant in almost 4 months that is the most unfortunate experience we have ever had. Word to the wise be careful if you wear anything Trump related you might get treated like I did. We will never return to this place. Side note if your employees donât agree with someoneâs beliefs/ opinions that should be something they worry about off their shift. And I treated our server and the host with respect and didnât see much in return. I was taught to treat others as I would like to be treated. I did give 2 stars because Niccole was nice but wasnât very attentive. Itâs sad to see these time bringing out the...
Read moreThe food was pretty good, but I suspect the staff kick kittens. Why? You will understand shortly.
We showed up at this establishment excited to try something new. The first red flag was when the place was only half-full on a Saturday night at dinner hour.
My friends and I ordered some pretty simple plates (sandwiches, calamari, and some other basic things that youâd think are pretty hard to mess up). I ordered nachos with sour cream on the side. Little did I know that my cursed lactose intolerance would doom me this night.
30 minutes passed. Then 45. I was becoming concerned because I had only ordered nachos. What was happening? Did the waitress who took my order quit without passing my order to anyone? Was she kidnapped? Was she ok?
Gradually, my hunger pangs intensified to the point where they crowded out my concern for my waitress.
Then the pangs gave way to a numb daze, where I transcended hunger and only waited for the sweet sweet release of death.
A little more than an HOUR after ordering my nachos, they finally arrived. Now, in their defense, itâs possible that theyâd run out of nachos and in their dedication to providing only the highest quality of food, they had gone out to pick corn from a far away cornfield beyond the Sandia Mountains to press into tortillas for their chips. If they did this, I sincerely apologize for this review.
After finally receiving our nachos (again, an HOUR AND FIFTEEN after ordering them), the order was WRONG. Instead of putting the sour cream on the side, they had DRENCHED them in about a gallon of it. I have to admit that a bit of shock broke through my daze and I reminded the waitress of my request.
Curse this wretched body that cannot process lactose!
After another 15 minutes of waiting for the order to be corrected, my nachos finally arrived.
After munching for a bit, I asked for a side of salsa. The waitress brought a side of salsa (in a container that appeared to be slightly bigger than the thimble my grandmother used when knitting blankets).
When the bill arrived (with admirable promptness), I was shocked to discover that they charged me for the thimble of salsa!
So yes, the food was decent, if a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10 rocks your boat, but their service was the worst Iâve experienced in a long time.
Were they required to offer any type of compensation for the inexplicably long wait or botched order? No. But it would have been nice to have had the thimble of salsa for free, or at least to have had a heads-up that their thimbles would be an extra charge.
Are they puppy-kickers? No, letâs not go that far. But do they hurt kittens? Iâm not alleging that, but honestly it just wouldnât surprise me. I mean, anyone with this level of coldness toward fellow human beings is guilty of something.
I would never come back here again unless I want to pull a prank on my friends, but I would never do that because I am considerate of others. Not to brag, but OâHares should...
