A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

'The older gentleman at the register was a bit rude and thinks everyone understands his particular job. It was out first time here and wasn't real sure if a lot of things. And when we asked questions he was rude and answered in a way like we should know the answer. Very unhappy from that point on. We finally get our orders placed and go sit done. It was FREEZING inside the restaurant. And saying 'freezing' is not an understatement. My party (5 people) all had very visible goosebumps. I watched people going to their cars for sweaters and cardigans, and still sat there hugging themselves to get warm. We made 2 orders for food, neither was was correct. Certain family members had to drink water, because of the lack of non-coke products and other choices of no sugar drinks. More than 1 family member. cannot drink coke and cannot have sugar bever ages. Makes for a lot of frustration. The A&W restaurant and Long John Silvers are one and the same. It's a combine franchise. There location can be seen from the street which is Pat Darko Blvd in Rio Rancho. Next to the Walmart market and directly across the street from Smiths grocery store. It's a great place to eat and you have a choice to either eat fish or hamburgers, one unique asset about this particular restaurant it the fact that they make their famous A & W root beer right on the premises. Ample parking is available as well as parking for the disabled and entrances also. Public restrooms are for patrons only and serve the disabled too. So my thought was was Long John Silvers for dinner and it was 9:10 pm on the night I went...pulled up to drive thur speaker and was told A&W Grill was closed and it be 10 to 15 mins wait for LJS for fresh food and all building lights were off we ordered a LG 16pc family meal and waited and got home and had Nasty hours old chicken and shrimp and the fresh fish 4pc of the fish were stuck together and the fries where nasty as well and was TOLD we were getting fresh food and the fish was the only thing fresh but stuck together customer service is not very good at 9:10pm when closing states 9:30 with all lights off...
