Since this place changed hands it has not been the same. Meat portions in the meals were cut when the new owners took over. We have gotten chicken wraps that were mainly lettuce, hardly any meat. Others have made similar comments on their meals lacking meat. We used to order from here at least once a week and get a to-go meal for the family. However, since the new ownership, we have had many errors in our to-go meals: sides missed, wrong toppings, and in a few instances the completely wrong sandwich was given. When we called to point out the errors we were greeted by the female owner who stated "I Never make mistakes". That was an extremely ignorant and rude statement. On the one time that they compensated us for a mistake, I went to pick up the food and was greeted by the male owner who stated very rudely "you are the person trying to rip us off". I simply was just trying to get an order from there that was actually accurate for once. In addition, they are cheap about giving plastic utensils or condiments out with to-go meals. I do not have these problems with any other restaurant in the immediate area. In addition, on the very rare occurrence that another restaurant has made a mistake, I have never been greeted with such a rude attitude from them as I have at Kinni Cafe. My family is no longer doing business with this...
Read moreI came to Kinni with a friend who lives in town. I was super impressed by the food. The food was cooked well and they are extremely generous with their portions. I got the kinni skillet which comes with choice of potatoes (breakfast or hash browns) and a side of toast, pancake OR French toast. I haven't been to a place in ages where French toast was an option. It's usually a la carte. The French toast was OMG so scrumptious! It's been a while since I've had good finger licking French toast. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and patient with my order. If I had to be picky, when she brought my skillet out, she gave it to the wrong customer (same table). The hashbrowns were cooked well (how I like them is some crunch, not all soft). As I was finishing my breakfast skillet, I saw the waitresses bring out sandwiches for another table. And boy! Let me tell you, I was impressed. The sandwhich was stacked! Most places, with their sandwiches, don't stack em like what I saw. Im not much of a sandwhich oerson when ordering food at a restaurant but I would definitely try a sandwhich just for the purpose of the generous portions, which made it look so tasty and appealing. When I'm near the area again, I would 101% definitely...
Read moreThis was our first time coming to this restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and she made sure to keep our cups refilled as needed while we were there. I ordered an egg and vegetable scramble on top of hash browns with a side of toast and it was amazing, a tad greasy but still delicious. My daughter ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The eggs were fine and so was the bacon but the pancakes were too dry. My daughter doctored them up with butter and syrup but there still weren't very fun to eat because of how dry they were. The hot chocolate my daughter ordered was good and my coffee was just fine. The decor was a little lacking and they could do with an update for sure. When we were leaving my daughter was happy to pick out a lollipop that the cashier offered her.
Edit: today I came here with my mom and my for lunch. My mom and i had the chicken dumpling soup which was delicious. I also had a chicken salad and it was pretty good. My daughter tried the waffles this time and was much happier with them then the pancakes, she thought the waffles and bacon were...
