I want to start off by saying that the atmosphere is great! The staff is friendly, and outgoing. The low rating today is in regards to pricing relative to the pizza. The largest size available is comparable to a medium at dominos, and priced at about 19-18$ per pizza. The pizzas are very sad looking, and tiny once you actually open the box. They seem like little frozen pizzas which is incredibly disappointing. Cheese & sauce are basically non existent, and the pizzas are very very thin. The overall taste of the pizza is around on par with Walmart great value frozen pizza. This is not meant as a dig, this is because the pizza genuinely is very much similar in taste and in size. The pizza feeds 1 person, but can be shared if you are possibly a person who does not eat a lot. The pizza is meant to be cut into 6 slices. Ours was cut into basically 5 slices. If you're looking for a cute date spot it's in a very aesthetic setting, but I would not recommend to anyone that wants a good pizza with good value. I want to also say that you will most likely have to pay for parking if it is busy around the food lab. Overall you are better getting pizza from every other major pizza chain. 12.99 for a large 5 topping pizza at dominos as of writing this review. This...

My complaint is mainly focused on the pizza. I’m not one for writing reviews but this is my exception. I went and understandably the staff was tired and stressed on a Saturday night no big deal. I order my pizza all was fine but once I arrived home to unveil my pizza the crust was cripsy on top but after grabbing it I noticed the whole under part of the pizza was completely uncooked pizza dough. I couldn’t finish a single slice without feeling sick. I Instead decided to take the loss of money poorly spent and tossed the pizza. I see no point in calling for a credit as I don’t much care to go back or go through the hassle of getting my money back. I’m sure others have had a good experience but I don’t recommend going on a busy day where the staff can’t properly...

This was my first time eating Bricks and Birch.. my daughter luvs pizza and that's what she wanted.. so we decided to try something new, it was worth every penny. The gentleman I placed my order with was polite and helpful with all my questions.. we ordered for pick up and when we got there he know who I was already.. that was coo.. the pizza was super yummy never had pizza cooked in a brick oven so tasty I'll definitely be back for another pie and some.. with many variations of topping and unique names for their specialty type pizza it's most assuredly a place to check out.. and not to mention my daughter luv'd it...

Amazing pizza. I miss NY pizza, this is the second closest thing in CA. Update: I went to the one in Redlands and no good at all riverside is no longer the best pizza in town they have new cooks it’s spongy and not as tasty. No more cheat meals here for me. Update: 10/22 as a business owner myself my turn over is 200% because of reasons like this. You ask for a well done pizza and get a pale soggy pizza. I would understand the pain of the owner. Can’t get anyone to do a good job now a days.

I was so excited to try this place because I’d been craving Neapolitan pizza but it was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The pizza was so greasy that it was orange and we had to dab it with napkins to remove some grease. It didn’t taste good in general. And there was a PIECE OF SHARP WOOD that my boyfriend almost swallowed. It was such a waste of money. EDIT: I reached out to the owner as they requested and after a few weeks there still has been no response on their end.

This is Bricks and Birch inside the Food Lab in downtown Riverside, CA. It's a great pizza place that even has a real wood fired brick oven. I had a large meat lovers type pizza which was hot, freshly made and very yummy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of good places to eat inside the Food Lab though it is a bit pricey. I look forward to trying all the other restaurants here.
