I’ve attempted to come here twice & both times I was turned away and not allowed to order inside. I understand that indoor dining is closed but I’m not trying to eat inside the restaurant & today I was just trying to pick up my online order and I stood outside knocking on the door for 10 minutes before someone came and answer the door. I walked to the El Pollo Loco so it made no sense to go through the drive-through when I DON’T have a CAR. I honestly thought that having ordered my food through the app will make it more convenient for me to just pick it up but I realize that’s half the battle when they just constantly lock you out of the restaurant refusing service until you bang down the door trying to get what you paid for. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service that I received. I can’t even believe that they would allow their platform to take online orders and then lock people out of the restaurant Whom are just trying to pick up their food. After a very long work-day, and only 3 hours of sleep, my daughter and I decided to pick up a late night dinner so I didn't have to cook. We decided to swing through the El Pollo Loco drive through, for the first time in years after seeing a commercial on TV. I was extremely tired, and to be honest, kind of delirious from lack of sleep. I couldn't figure out what I wanted to order, and I kept changing my mind. Yes, I was being that customer. I know I confused the poor girl Mariah that had to deal with me. But Mariah was so gracious and helpful despite my craziness. I was so tired I even called her "Rebecca" after she told me her name was Mariah. And I asked her for her name, and I still got it wrong 🤦♀️ But she continued to be positive and cheerful the entire time. Read moreStarted out good. The cash register employee Ryan was friendly. I was with my significant other and she ordered a tostada which came right away before we left the counter. I ordered 3 piece chicken strips which seriously took 10 minutes to come out. When I walked back up to the counter to get my food I had the smallest order of fries I've ever seen that were also cold by the way, and 1 small scoop of coleslaw. I should have said something there but I didn't, I brought my food back to my table, I went to grab a chicken strip and it was cold, then I tried another and it was cold and then the third was warm. So out of my whole meal I got one piece of warm food and two bites of coleslaw. I've worked in plenty of restaurants growing up and the way I looked at it was if I wouldn't eat it then don't serve it!
